Since this section of Lindaland concerns prophecies and predictions here's one worth mentioning. Terence McKenna (1946-2000) was a critic of modern culture who is well-known for his theory of Timewave Zero, which proposes that time is not merely empty duration but has an inherent fractal structure which affects what happens in time. He explained this in many talks (available in audio and video on YouTube and elsewhere). The theory posits an 'end of time', generally located at December 21, 2012.
