I have read on countless occasions that Christian literature rebukes Tarot and any form of occultic or divination tools. Do you feel their assertions are ridiculous/ meaningless or do you feel there's some truth on why they should be rid 0f?I read stuff like "get rid of any books, cards etc related to occultism" They say stuff like these invite impurity and curses. Have you wondered why very Christian people tend to have more blessings than non religious people? Are they under the umbrella of Christs blessings?

Well, it depends on how you define your personal relationship with Christ and what you feel comfortable with.Personally, I don't recommend you do anything you feel uncomfortable with. So, if you are religious and it bothers you to read cards, you shouldn't do it because it undermines personal will and personal power, which invites sickness, etc through the schisms of self. As for personal blessings for certain Christians, etc, consider Job. He was faithful to his ways of honoring God and he still had to deal with a lot of crap happening to him. It is unwise to say a person is right solely based on the blessings he or she receives. Look to how that person behaves when under stress. You'll see what kind of person they truly are. The blessing is not in the quantity but in the quality of what we or they have to offer. IP: Logged |

Just adding , I grew up in a family that acted that way saying cards are bad ect.. However, when I went through my death and rebirth I turned to astrology and cards as a way of understanding. I actually believe I was led to it by the higher powers so that I could find my truth. I am happy reading cards it help me when I need understanding. The other day my grandmother called and was talking to my future ex husband on the phone behind my back saying that he should make me get rid of my cards that they are bad and evil and should not have them in my home. And that it's what was making me so depressed. That had absolutely nothing to do with my depression it had to do with my soulmate leaving me and they don't believe that so they came up with the crap reason that is was the cards. I personally don't care what they think the cards and astrology helped me to see when my soulmate was coming to find out why things were happening to me and have helped me to grow. Just my personal opinion but if they can't accept me for who I am then they don't need to be in my life.

I agree with MetalAphrodite. There are a lot of occult aspects to Christianity and I say that growing up Christian. Many of the symbols they use and on the robes the priests wear. Personally astrology has helped me understand people better, same thing when I do readings for people and help them understand a situation better. In a way they are both counseling methods that help people understand their place in life and how to best approach a situation. It's just a different way of doing it. Also in America in what is called the "bible belt" where everyone is 'hardcore' Christian, you see some of the most vile and abusive people. Incest, abuse of all kinds. So really is that better or more blessed? IP: Logged |
