Your views on it?
I was just told by someone that one shouldn't do this as its not fortuitous to spiritual health.

What do you think?

I have a really hard time with it :-/ I feel like I can't interpret the cards at all. usually if I read for myself, I will put up what cards I did pull and have someone interpret them, its just something that is hard for me to do...

How is it not 'fortuitous to spiritual health'?

I read for myself. I don't have any problems interpreting my cards, actually most of my spreads come out with an advice or a word of caution. Actually I have decided not to request interpretations because people are not privy to what's really going on in my life. I should be the best person to interpret my spreads or at least search for the possible meanings of the cards pulled in view to give them an interpretation that fits my reality.

I read for myself all the time. It's all up to the person and their beliefs/how they feel about it. If you feel it's wrong, then don't do it. I always, always, always read for myself - there is absolutely nothing wrong with that whatsoever ( my opinion - don't kill me )

Edited to add - I do sometimes seek opinions of others to see what they may gather. Sometimes people have experience with a particular combination of cards that make sense. Especially if one is blind to reality.

You can listen to whoever you want, sweetie. I have, and continue to read 'professionally' ( I don't like to label myself ) for others as well. I have been doing it online since August 2011, by the way. Took a break early 2012..and now doing it again. Been studying Tarot for 10 years and I do it for a living.

It's all up to the individual =/

I'm sorry =/

There are many other professionals that will not agree with that particular person's opinion (the one who told you that). It's all based on opinion..not facts.

Well let me say it is more difficult to stay impartial and get a reliable result, if anything.

I think I know where the person who advised you is coming from, but then I've developed this attitude that knowing what is in the future is not going to change anything massively.

Also, is that person a professional as in getting paid or as in having a gift/being aware of energies etc.? Unfortunately this fails to correlate more often than not these days.

Angel Oracles I've never owned, but these are likely to be fairly innocuous, good affirmations can hardly be harmful if they are not beneficial.
