I recently bought this book and found some very interesting techniques. This person has gathered lots of information over the past 35 years of doing readings.

For instance

With the celtic cross you can do many different things.

The suggestion for a good celtic cross reading. Draw cards lay face down.

cp - card position 1 - the core ( who you are, what you want)

cp - 2 this cards shapes and defines card 1

cp 3 - what drives you / why you need this

cp - 4 a physical related event / what you have done in perpetration for your manifestation

If these cards make sense with (1/2 cp) then continue

skip cp 5&6 for now

cp 7- your internal motivations, what you are tired of and pushing away. What you don't want anymore.

Cp-8 who is going to help us reach our goal, how will they help us, how you will get the support you need.

cp - 5 the public side of your manifestation, the general public supporting your progress. Your allies and efforts.

cp -6 a path, the way to your destination in card 10

cp - 10 the end result / destination
( and they lived happily ever after... The end ! )

-----5---------10
4----1/2--6---9
-------3--------8
-----------------7

------------------------------------------------------------------
Hidden spreads in the celtic cross ( using the cp's above)

The most simple

Past - present- future

Cp 4 ----cp 1/2 ------ cp 6

This is basically the running theme of situation
The past events that relate to present question ( cp 4)
The present circumstances ( cp 1/2 )
The immediate future ( cp 6 )
You can also add (cp 10 ) for outcome

Cards 4, 5 &6 are the progression of the journey
( what has happened, what we believe will happen and plan for, and what really happens)

Next hidden spread

Cards 3, 1/2 and 5 this will reveal a lot about the persons psyche and why cards 7 and 9 are what they are.
Card 3 reveals what is not being asked or why they are asking this question in the first place.

Cards 7 &9
Inside thoughts one they want to rid themselves of and the other pushing towards.
Which of these two cards are stronger ?
Are fears Cp 7 stronger than cp 9 our happy place?

7+9=6
Look at what is wanted and not wanted then look to immediate future position (6) how the events that are unfolding will affect them.

3&7 our private thoughts and feelings things we keep to ourselves.

5+9 our public thoughts and feelings things we tell others about

There are a few more but I am stopping here
Hope this info is helpful.

I am glad the info is helpful.

The author also mentioned about using one, two and three card blob spreads. And mentioned that they are I fact the hardest spreads to read.

His reasoning is that you have no card position to give you a framework or meaning for the card. You have less information to work with . This means answers will be more vague and make the other person fill in the blanks.
He says to never leave a person to fill in the blanks for a reading as this is what scammers and stage magicians do. He goes on to say that larger spreads show patterns and how they interact that you cannot get from smaller spreads or individual cards.

This is very useful and good information Vesta...thank you for sharing it!

and fully agree with that part about not letting others fill in the blanks when reading...
thankfully most of the good readers on this website, even with a few cards they fill in the blank for the people they are reading for.
but you are tempting me to take out my deck and try this with it
