I went on this blind date with a guy the other day and we got to talking about work. His goal, he told me, was to get into the oil business because of all the unethical things going on so that he could change it from the inside out. I chuckled and was immediately reminded of the 7 of cups. This felt like such a head-in-the-clouds moment, of dreams that can't be attained.

I can't remember what field he's currently working in but it was a far cry from the oil business and/or owning his own oil business like he said he wanted.

Anyone else have moments like this?

Or other card moments. Like someone says or does something and it makes you think of a card.

Yeah.

8 of swords when I talk with my mum. It's really difficult to break the shackles that hold her mind. I tried a lot and I finally understood. Makes me look at the 8 of swords with more compassion that I used to before.

This card has come up about 3 times lately I regard to someone and their relationship.

But at least you've become more compassionate. That's good.

^ Yeah but gosh it involves a lot of hurting in the process..

another card that frequently pops in my mind is the king of pents. I meet them almost every day

They are pretty cool. Actually it's the King card I like most. Probably because I am Saturnine myself.

Leo Rising people - 9 of Cups. It's their facial expression that speaks to me.

See, in this situation, I see the 7 of cups reflected in being disillusioned with something--seeing unfairness from his pov.

Also 7 of cups to me is the dreamer as well, someone who imagines something better in life.

Through your lens, you may view his idealism through the extreme association with the of 7 of cups which is living in a dream world.

7 of cups can also be inspirational also...since 7's are about coming to some understanding or new knowledge.
