I just splurged and bought this. I do connect with it but the few reads I have tested with have not connected at all. Don't know if there is something I should know about this deck or if I am just having hard time because the symbols are different. It is very beautiful!!!

Look deeper. Some decks will connect with some people, while some other decks do not. I've had this happen, and it peeves me.

LittleWing, how about seeing if it connects with me?

I'm curious as to what deck you have also. I have the Golden Tarot and the Spill Tarot which I use in conjunction to my intuition. I found the Golden one is a gentler read and works more with in-person readings. The Spill works better for online reads, and is blunt to a fault. For me, I do not take the reversals in the Golden deck seriously, but I do with the Spill.

It's very pretty. It's an advanced deck though, because of the very different symbolism in it.

Doubt I would like reading with it, cause of the very different depictions... I do think it would be a perfect deck to inspire writing with it...

Some decks just don't click though. I think Little Cloud made some really good suggestions about reading with a new deck. To go through each card & write down your impressions. That may help you to connect & read with it.

Good luck!

Mincey, it is the wild unknown tarot. I can pull some cards for you!

I will have to check out the gold tarot after you guys mentioned them. I do love these though it may just take time to warm up to them.

@ Twirl- what made you mention writing?!? Oddly people have been telling me to start blogging/ writing!

Lol, yes, it does look out of place. I use tarot when giving creative writing classes & have written this fabulous little booklet http://instagram.com/p/njJcv4g3Vw/ & wanted the wild unknown deck as a writing tool. (Just oozes mystery).

Either way, if you would like to write, just do it

Also, note that everyone has diff interpretations of the symbols and the general message. In the golden tarot the hermit means isolation ect, but in the spill deck, despite its ryder waite symbolism, the hermit means tapping into your mental ability while also meaning isolation.

I had a really good tarot reader give me some tips when I was just starting out (yes, this will take some time)- it's to pull a card for yourself in the morning about how your day goes, and then reflect back on the card you pulled at the end of the day. You can stick the notes to the cards. I never wrote them down, mainly because having written words stops me from relying on my intuition.

Thank you both for your advice! I will check out your site twirl it is very cool you are doing what you love!I trust that I will get more connected once I practice more. Also I have been going through a very very trying time and its possible that when I read for myself the connect is not there.

Hey LittleWing,

Wild Unknown is my go-to deck. I love that thing, especially because of the animals.

I was intimidated by the symbolism at first but in the end I find it to be very intuitive. Something that helps me is the $20 guidebook that's offered on the Wild Unknown site. I used it to lean on at first and now I only use it for certain cards. Maybe this deck isn't a good fit for you, but I wouldn't give up just yet!

I think I'll moved this thread to TTLG if you guys are not exchanging readings on here.

Thanks.
