Asked "what does he want from me" and got Queen of Swords, 7 of wands, The Fool, and The Hermit.
I'm getting a defensive "leave me alone" vibe from these cards but I'm having difficulty making it into a coherent interpretation.
Thoughts?

Really? The first thing I thought was that he wants you to stick up for yourself and put him in his place, honest. I'm not sure why. I can tell why you'd think these said to leave him alone though.

Thanks for responding
That's interesting, maybe my biases clouded my interpretation. Can you explain how you got to that interpretation?

You asked what he wanted from you, and for whatever reason I just felt the Queen of Swords and 7 of Wands was you protecting yourself and not being so emotional about the conflict between you two, but rather stone cold and defending (7 of Wands) your reasoning (Queen of Swords.) The Fool and The Hermit together suggest you having confidence in that decision and being happy by yourself having learned a great deal (The Hermit) about your boundaries (7 of Wands) and what you'll tolerate. I ALSO saw him as The Hermit and you also as The Fool leaving him alone to think about what he's done wrong or needs to do.

What was the context of your question?

Oh that does make a lot of sense, I was originally interpreting in more of a "how does he feel about me" way but your interpretation is a better fit.

It was for a love reading, he hurt me in the past and suddenly reappeared. The Queen of Swords always shows up in readings regarding him, and not necessarily to represent him. She gives me a "once burned twice shy" feeling.
