Queen of Swords- 4 of Discs- Sun

Sun seems to say yes but the rest of it doesn't seem to fit into 'romantic positive cards'. Funnily enough we are both Leos and in my deck the Sun card has two figures (children?) dancing in the sun.

I just want some initial responses before I get into more detail about this guy.

Ugh I'm usually good at yes or no's but here I feel like it's speaking of a trait you both share not to share the full truth, you only let the other know what you want them to know and you're both private people. So intuitively you guys are similar but I'm not picking up if it's a positive match for you or not. One of you takes the relationship/ relationships more serious than the other or is just a more serious person in general. I feel like the Queen and 4 of Pentacles weighs The Sun down. I think you've been drawing 4 of Pentacles a lot lately, haven't you?

But yes we are private, me for reasons you know, him for...well I'm not sure why, I'm assuming some type of abuse or issue in his family. Also he lives on the other side of the US which is maybe why this is also one of those difficult spreads.

This combo describes a tense relationship when it comes to ego clashes: both people are stubborn and a bit self-centered in this relationship and defensive (4 of disks) and jumpy or judgmental (Q of S.). I think the Sun in this spread, apart from its "ego" meaning, lets you see this (reveals it for you), eventually, and maybe this is just a stage of this relationship you need to overcome in order to be together. But the current atmosphere between you seems to be the one I tried to describe, not very inspiring for romance.

You probably need to let your guard down and be more generous with each other in order for this to work.

^ I feel like this is the case now, although when I had asked we were talking and smiling and now...idk not much. Like I said, he lives on the other side of the country so it's not like much can happen...but idk...it feels nice to like someone that likes me too, or seemed to.

So....im not sure, usually the Emperor is someone that sticks around but it could also be him sticking by his actions..

Interesting...I see those cards as hot and cold, first off.

Secondly, I feel like he will blow up (or you will) and that is what will open the door to communication. Those cards look like a simmering pot.

Third, is it possible there's another girl in the picture and you will hear about it? HP can represent that.

From what he's told me, he's been single for 3.5 years and there is no girl to speak of. I did think about that as HP has often come up as another woman I don't know about so it's possible...it's just so weird how all of sudden..nada..

From what you told me I think he got mad and acted based off his anger (8 of Wands) so now he's not talking to you (High Priestess) and being stubborn about it (The Emperor). I think he will eventually let you know though, I have a feeling.
