This may sound lame but the first thing I thought of was the movie "The Sound of Music" where they are out in nature, singing, breathing the fresh air and hiking over beautiful fields and mountains...really connecting with nature

Could he be a commitment phobe? 4 of Pentacles can mean wanting to maintain the status quo but 10 of Pentacles is rather contradicting here. He might feel torn apart.
