I was told once that if all the cards are upright, that is a definite yes.

With that said:

I asked if I would get a certain audition?

Death
Fool
3 swords

From what I know about upright cards...this would be a yes but these cards read negative to me....so would this be a no?

Upright or reversed, I think you need to use the yes/no meaning of each card. Each card, reversed or not, has a yes no maybe value.

Also, you need to determine which method you use (for yes/no questions) before you do the spread. Do you count positives/negatives? Do you use the last one as the answer (with clarifier if maybe) and the others to explain the answer? There are several methods and you need to choose one before casting.

Also, yes/no questions are to be avoided in general. Plus, in my view, Tarot should be used for important matters related to guidance and understanding rather than a simple yes/no prediction of the future for mundane questions.

We can have fun with Tarot, as we do on the other spread, sometimes, but using it too much for daily yes/no questions or mundane questions does not serve its purpose, IMO. Have you considered learning Leno? It's much better for this kind of questions.

Hi Leeloo!

Thank you for your msg, sorry for the delay, busy week.

I heard in a 3 card spread,

if all upright = yes
if all reversed= no
if 2 up right= probably yes
if 2 reversed= probably no
if upright, reversed, upright= ask again

Not sure if this is a solid chart to go on as I have found it to be wrong sometimes.
What are your thoughts?

Nonetheless your right. I need to move over to Leno (I ask too many mundane questions to tarot).

I don't recommend this method though. The fun with tarot cards is to interpret their meaning. This method could be used with any pack of blank cards, some of them pulled upside down. IMO, this spread is most likely no, unless the 3 of swords relates to the theme of the audition.

If it had been death fool 3 of Sw rev, a yes would have been possible.
