Hi guys. So I decided to draw a 3 x 3 spread on my last relationship. I asked: "What should I know about my relationship with M as a whole?"

Heart + Dog makes me feel that we had a true love that was genuine. There was loyalty and mutual feelings.... all until there wasn't. Coffin makes sense here since we have recently broke up and now all the love and loyalty is gone.

I'm having trouble with the second row though. Could book + fish mean he's already talking to other people in order to make himself feel better (bear)? Or if we go the traditional route, could it mean that he secretly felt being with me would cost him money?

I have NO clue what the last line means but it's clear with Ship we will be moving on from each other.

Can anyone please help me decode this spread and understand what it means? This relationship was one of my biggest heartbreaks and understanding it better will help me get over it quicker.

Is the book you're writing to do with this? In part. Because it seems your heart had to go through this for the book. This experience was necessary for your growth.
Other cards that show that you grew from that experience book + fish. Coffin + fish + birds - to me it's like you emerge from your cocoon and more confident, chatting.

I think the bear is a new guy you either met already, or will.
Someone protective, strong, financially stable. Again relationship with M was necessary before you meet Mr bear.

Is there anyone overseas? Or long distance from you? Your heart is still there...

Anchor + birds + Ship - to me means work related travels... Not sure how it fits here hmm

The book I am writing does have something to do with our relationship M has definitely given me a lot of inspiration and has helped me out of my writers block as silly as that may sound.

As much as I hate to admit it, I for sure learned a lot from this relationship. A lot, a lot, a lot. You're right. This was definitely the step I needed to take in order for me to know 1) what it's truly like to be in a relationship 2) that there's so much more out there.

I think I will be more confident soon as well. I am currently in a cocoon now but can't wait to break out of it. I really feel April will be my month.

I have no clue who Mr. Bear is but I will for sure update you on this when he decides to come around I agree with you again that my relationship with M needed to happen before I went with someone else. In regards to romance, I was a bit naive before and M was my first real real relationship. I know that may sound weird since I'm 19 but it's true lol

No one overseas.... But there is someone long distance from me at the moment that will always have a place in my heart. We went through a lot of things together when we were kids. We loved each other, then I moved away and he tried keeping in touch, but we eventually went our seperate ways. I still love him so maybe this could be what you're picking up on?

Not too sure how work related travels fits here as either. However, this row describes the future, right? Anything can happen

In 3 x 3, can we also read from top to bottom instead of left to right?

The long distance makes sense.

With 3×3 I read from every possible angle so diagonally, vertically, horizontal.
So if the cards are 1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

I read 1+4+7, 2+5+8, 3+6+9
1+2+3, 4+5+6, 7+8+9, 1+5+9,,3+5+7

I know there's also a method to read 1+3+7+9

No, why?? you're doing fine I think you laid the cards from left to right, so horizontally, right?? so first line is past, middle line present and third line future.
