After a little research I found that Rana George has a very effective method for timing with lenormand cards.

For those who have her book in the front she mentions neuance cards for different things. Action, time, portrait and mood cards.

Smaller readings work well when looking into these specific topics. When one of the neuance cards are present in the reading the entire reading will take on that elemental charcter.

The time cards
Rider
Tree
Mice
Lillie's
Moon
Anchor

I have been working on timing and trying to get better, though it can be difficult. Given the pitfalls I have found that at times there always seems to be cards in the tarot readings that will hint to timing. My thought was that maybe pulling a few tarot along side for clarification would help to narrow things down. I guess then I would look to astrology to narrow things down even more and see if things would be in alignment. Given the time frame.

Any other thoughts ?

To me, the "nuance" is given by the first or "heart" card, depending on the type of spread.

Timing seems to work pretty well with Lenormand, and I remember you use very exact techniques, Vesta
Have you tried this method? it looks pretty interesting:

EDIT: I do think however, every Leno card has a timing value and that it's best to use that one. Of course, Rana George is narrowing it down because people want to know the exact date lol

I tried that method but it did not work for me.

I like to narrow things down the way Rana George does. Because people want an exact date and we know that is almost impossible unless things are exceedingly close due to free will and other people.

But it can give us clues as to a time frame and when that time comes we can surely ask again to see where things are going.

I didn't think about the first card in spread, I was looking at the heart card. I like to be accurate as I don't like to give someone information that is not accurate. I don't want to give someone false hope or say something will not happen when there is a good chance that it can. I always want to encourage others to strive for the best and do what is right for them. So when I do readings I always double check to make sure that the information I give is accurate.

Looking back, this method actually did work exceedingly well. But the problem was the answer was related to the past. After looking over notes I realized that is was exact but it was what happened in the past.

How about if I try both methods again and see which one is more accurate. ( watch both work ) lol !!!!

It would be interesting to compare them.
