I have been sick and I just lost my ability to smell and taste. I think it is a sinus infection it did not seem that way until today. I tried to smell coffee out of new bag this morning and nothing same with a fresh cut lemon and a lotion I had for hands I can't even smell air freshener. I can taste a little but the smell is completely gone. I read you might need steroids for your nose because it is a viral or bacterial type infection. I had no idea I just thought I had a bad cold. I was flipping out in earlier post. I am going to see about an appointment tomorrow can someone pull some cards for me on this situation. Will I be able to get my sense of smell back ? And what is cause ? I believe it is infection but need to make sure.
BTW... I have been thinking my TF (G) is coming on 5/8 that would good to confirm as well. My thanks in advance,
I will be happy to pull a few in return once I am in better health.

Hi, vesta  How are you feeling?
Dear vesta, this is not the place to look for an answer, you should go to the doctor immediately! When we are sick, we first go to the doctor!I did pull cards for you: what is the cause of vesta's anosmia? 3 of wands 10 of cups 3 of wands is a clear indication of head/face
10 of cups sometimes shows a possible surgery my guess is your sinuses are blocked and you will probably need a sinus aspiration so please go to the doctor now!

Yes, I am going I just found out yesterday. That's when symptoms presented. I am waiting for docs office to open so I can get in today. Thank you. IP: Logged |

I am sorry to hear you are not well, but I very much second what Leeloo said (and I dont quite like pulling cards on health matters), and it is good you go to the doctor soon.

Well, I went and no sinus infection she said that the loss of smell and taste is actually pretty common. It was just from inflammation that interfered with smell.
She was more concerned with my lungs. Apparently I have bronchitis. Which is what I was thought previously to sinus but I got appointment she gave me inhaler, breathing medication for lungs and a antibiotic. So I will be ok. Thank you for concern and help.
I realize I needed to go to doctor and intended to go anyway no matter the reading. I just was looking for reassurance that it would turn out ok while I waited till office opened so I could make appointment. Everyone has been sick - my little boy had ear infection My daughter not feeling well her stomach bother her for about a week and looks pale. She thought it was food poisoning but it could be more than that so she needs to see doctor now. Thanks again, V IP: Logged |
