I found this spread in the booklet of my Leno cards. It's a pretty simple spread, but I liked the idea of "stopping" when you understand the answer. It's a great practice for an "unknown card number tirage", when you pull cards until you feel you have answered the question, without determining in advance a specific number of cards to use.

So what you do is pick up your court card (it can be used with Tarot as well, I presume) - in Leno, let's say the Woman - and then you pick a card as significator for what you determine to be your goal/dream/purpose.

You line them up with a space between them and then you draw a number of cards from 3 to 7 (not more than 7) until you feel you understand the answer to your question. The tirage is supposed to show you the steps to reach your goal.
The best part about it is that it doesn't involve a closed path, the path to your goal is open (there is no "no") and you simply see how to reach it, what are the steps you need to take to attain your goal

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms...

so, I picked woman as my significator and heart as the goal (how to find mutual love).

In between there was the line of:

Woman
key - stork - child - letter - ship - man - book
Heart

How would you interprete this?

ah ok let's see...so you felt like using the whole number of cards? no stone left unturned, huh? just kidding!

well, very very cool spread I see a possible storyline here, but perhaps several alternatives
First thing I see is a secret revealed, most likely a destiny event/path unknown yet (Key Book) in relation to a man you don't know yet (Man left of Book); the important thing is this man clearly exists

So whatever you do between the Key and the Book takes you to this Man

what can you do here:

a radical change and new beginning (like giving birth to a new you): key stork child that's pretty obvious to me
now child ship with letter in between sounds like a short journey related to some papers/invitation

but letter is the "heart" here so this is something YOU should do, rather than happening to you.

what could you do as child letter ship? buying a car? that's one thing that comes to mind...a new "vehicle" maybe it's a spaceship lol

hm I think I know....I think it has something to do with a new approach on communicating and perhaps even writing something somewhere (could it be some online community?)Anyway, I think learning a new way to communicate/express yourself (foreign language comes to mind as well, with letter ship), so perhaps, metaphorically, learning a total new language as manner of communication/expression. these are the first ideas, what do you think?
It's a very complex and interesting spread.

thanks, Leeloo. I can see that, and several other storylines.
Funny enough I relate strongly to the Ship, it just made me laugh, as I`ve scheduled so many trips to see the man.
But then there is also the classtrip to France.

Nevertheless, actually I pulled the last card. book, just cause I could not fight the temptation, even though actually I think the spread was already finished with the man.
Also interestingly in my deck the book is an "open book". The writing`s on the wall so to speak (but probably only being shared with some exclusive people ).

Also the book comes up very often for me in terms of some sort of private communication, even grading papers, which is of course knowledge or information shared with just a selected group of people, too.

oh and no car for me, I do not have a driving licence.

Hey, I just remember I was being asked by some of my pupils to prepare something with them for the visitor`s day in november to introduce the visitors to Latin.
And been thinking about maybe it was time for another play on Latin. Last time it worked wonderfully 3 years ago, and this class is another one of those "dream-classes" with pupils who are really interested in getting things creatively and constructively done. And it is so rare that pupils come up for asking for any extra work. lol

Well last year we introduced Roman games (and my colleague and me somehow got into a sword-fight. I admit, it was my fault, I might have attacked her first. I seem to be not able to behave like an adult at times, but seems the pupils did not mind. LOL
It must seem weird to them, as I can be so serious at times as well, so people are kinda startled, when the Sagittarius comes out to play. )

But yes I think it`s time to write, produce and direct another play.

Might not bring me the mutual romantic love of a man as was my inquiry.
But it fits with the children in thre and the stork and the book.

That's just very cool, Ceri, it also relates to the foreign language theme and I loved the open book idea too.

Yes, I am still intrigued by how to interprete the book in general.
we know it is generally about secrets, but in my deck it is an open book, yet it is still the book. That is intriguing, not quite sure about the interpretation. But in the lest it is not THAT secret as other books I suppose. though maybe just open to the cards surrounding the book?
Lol maybe the heart is an open book? Or should be an open book?
Which is why letter is there, too?
Communication, as you said.
Which would definitely be a new approach (stork and child).

I think you drawing the Book is very important, because it made Key Book possible: unlocking your destiny.
Book is also teaching, knowledge. I see it a lot for secrets/unknown person/thing/ revealing a secret with Mice, Scythe (slow development or stolen secret vs sudden revelation)
