I've been studying tarot for the past 5 months and I want to know. Does the Empress ALWAYS mean "the kept woman-other woman, there's another woman involved" in a romance/potential relationship/love reading?

What's your opinion on this card?

What if the empress pops up in a when will he call/contact/will he contact? If it is indeed interpreted as another woman then wouldn't a 3 of wands be involved or any 3's for a third party to be involved in a spread.

Sister has been pining over a guy for the past month, he hasn't contacted her so I asked Will P contact A? Want to make sure there is or isn't another woman before I tell her :3 D:

6 swords (he is moving away from a bad situation he ha probably gone through)
Empress (moving towards a woman! or maybe my sister?)
King of Pents (he will be happy and content, complete so to speak or he will contact her since its a positive card)

So what's your take on The Empress, in general for romance/love/will he contact-readings?

I wouldn't call her "kept woman" - she's the empress and holds power in her own right. She would be above the querent, so to speak, I've come to notice. (Ya know, learning new stuff each day...)

She does stand for carnal pleasures and I think that it's circumstantial rather than consequential to have her in spread where 3 way love/romance is involved.

No he isn't, not for awhile as he's taking a break. This is her time to heal, and she's got a LOT of time with the King of Pentacles sitting there (the Pentacles energy while reliable, slows everything down plus...Empress is represented by Taurus. ) Or this is saying it could happen, but not or awhile and on his terms (so not if she reaches out, which the Empress never would because she runs everything which means she gets someone else to do it. )

I've never heard of The Empress being The Other Woman. The High Priestess has been called that because she's part of the "shadows" though. Sometimes it means the asker needs to relax. I kind of see her related to The Magician but she's the recipient instead. She needs to be receptive, but if she's constantly hoping this guy calls her that's going to slow the process down more. Wanting something, the energy and thought process that goes into that, blocks the flow of energy which The Empress represents. She's open and observant and comfortable because she has everything she needs and more, and if she wants something she'll wait for it but I don't get the impression from her card that she's a "doer" about anything. Double that because this particular draw she ended up next to the King of Pentacles. I think it's saying your sister needs to use this time to reevaluate her "investments" with this guy, and that she also needs to be selfish to an extent, to relax, and just let him come to her. Neither The Empress or King of Pentacles are proactive cards to me.

It depends. If they have already been a couple and they broke up, the KoP realizes she is the most important woman for him (Empress) so he decides to be KoP about it and they make up (6 of sw - the K is returning and the relationship enters a new phase), so the answer is yes.
I think the other two interpretations (totally awesome are valid if they don't know each other very well.
And there's a possible theme of sensuality here as well (getting the relationship physical with someone).

They aren't a couple they just went on few dates but he went silent for about two weeks! haha shes' been stressing me out "when will he caaaalllll" haha aaaand he called yesterday haven't seen my sister since haha.
