How often do you use clarifiers? How do you use them? Do they help you more often than not?

Lately I've been clarifying my spreads very often and I do it for individual cards (not necessarily all of them though). I use more than 1 clarfier if I feel the need to. It does help me most of the time.

I mostly ask (example):
What is The Chariot in my last spread trying to tell me?

I tend to do a 3 card spread and when I finish what I think it means...I pull a 4th (clarifier) this last card gives me an idea of what the whole 3 card spread is about.

Hope that helps

I used to do that but somehow I've changed my method. At the very beginning I would actually calculate the clarifier from the cards in the spread, I looked it up on a local forum.

I use clarifiers on an individual basis. Hence I pull clarifiers until I have a "movie".
