I had another strange dream last night, this time It involved me getting married lol. None of our families came to the ceremony, and I was upset. It was in a chapel near where i used to live at home. I remember vows being made, and then the last thing i remember is seeing the groom outside, but that's all i can really remember, but the dream was quite vivid.

I need a little assistance with the clarifiers i pulled,

I asked what the dream meant and got in the main spread

2 Pents Rev, King of Cups, 7 Wands, Queen Wands, The Chariot

I think it means there are too many things happening right now and I want things too fast and perhaps expecting too much in my life and too soon. Perhaps in the end it means to exert some patience and find balance. 7 wands made me think of opposition as in the church there were very few people - no family were there to celebrate. But I think 7 wands also speaks of fearlessness too.

To clarify
Judgement Rev, Strength Rev, The World

The clarifiers confused me though - Judgement rev says to not overestimate something and then the strength rev says you're stronger than you realise. So now im stuck - Maybe finding balance in my life?

Any thoughts on the clarifiers? im a bit stumped by these. I use the clarifiers like a mini spread to clarify the theme of the whole main spread. They seem to me to be contradicting.

Too many cards, IMO, in the beginning the point is to use few cards to learn all their possible meanings and card on card clarifier (such as asking: what is the meaning of 2 of pents here? and use another card to clarify) I don't recommend reversals unless very experienced with Tarot.

Both spreads and the dream show a battle inside you to take charge on a matter (romantic) where two people decide (which is understandable) and your inner, subconscious frustration you don't hold control over it, and the desire of your mind to take over, to control. The insecurity provided by the other person, the lack of support and stability (family and traditional structure such as the church, symbolic of course) and the normal, instinctive attempt to be in control. Feeling powerless because there is a part (the other) you are unsure of and can't control and the attempt to overcome this powerlessness with QoW, Chariot and World.

Judgment rev + Strength rev = fearing bad judgment and weakness and the desire to overcome those with world;

and the conflict (plus personal attempt to take over, to hold your ground) in 7 of wands between the court cards, the bride and groom + 2 of pents rev)= frustration with lack of clarity involvement and support from the other

It can be residual, a previous wound about this healing.

Thanks leeloo, sorry for the late response, I was away today and yesterday for work. Thanks for your reply and interpretation. What you said makes sense to me. There is an element of wanting to have some more control in the relationship itself(not on the person as I dont believe in that) - I am feeling there should be more balance right now as it doesn't feel very stable to me, without going into too many details things are a bit up in the air right now.

With the cards, generally i'm comfortable with 5-card spreads, for me the 3 clarifiers are a mini spread to confirm the theme of the main spread, rather than the meaning of a particular card, I find this to be easier for me. It seems though this doesn't work for me on these types of questions because i got quite stuck. I had thought it was about opposition/wanting too much too soon. Maybe these type questions are a little too advanced for me right now - trying to understand, in this case a complex puzzle(dream) with another puzzle(tarot spread) - as im new to tarot.

Thanks alot

@GK - I love puzzles and am enjoying trying to figure out dreams, I often read the posts in the AR forum. Dreams can have many interpretations and I see one thing having one meaning on a particular website and then having a completely different or opposite meaning on another. So I had thought what do the cards say, as I feel the cards are not wrong in readings, just interpretations are(in my own view). I think the cards give clarity on it and point us in the right direction. To answer your question from this and the previous spread, I think it does. I had done similar spread a few months back with cartomancy and it was also resonating with a situation going on. I do believe that dreams have a meaning behind them. I do get quite vivid dreams at times.

HA!
The thumbs done right!

Dreams are very complex. In real life we analysed dreams for hours! I had personal connections with several symbols. They all collapsed last year into a totally new definition. As I prefer a "straight-to-the-point" approach I always wondered if it is really working. It should, as energy does not mind about the way.

Maybe we should look at dreams in the same way we look at card interpretation? 1 card means something on it's own but with combinations it means something different. The only thing is with dreams we would have way more symbols than there are cards in a tarot deck.

Maybe tarot can be used as clarifiers. I think it would be helpful

Great idea Drawing a card (or more) to explain what a dream symbol means, for each symbol, if necessary.
