So my friend and I are practicing readings and sharing our interpretations for each reading. My friend pulled flooding cards for me:2 of cups. About the opportunities
4 of pentacles. About the obstacles
6 of cups. Outcome
So how would you interpret this as feelings? How person X feels about person Y?

I am a novice to this so please take it with a pinch of salt as it may be a random shot.The cards tell about a possible relationship(=2 of cups) with the challenge of clingy(=4 of pents). In the outcome it speaks of a card that wants to remind that an ex is an ex for a reason. IP: Logged |

Sorry Hanna! 🙊 flooded was a typo lol. Both great interpretations.
I read it as yes, they like each other good emotions, feelings here but someone is holding off on showing emotions or getting close to each other. Six of cups I see as reconciling meeting up again renewing things?
Any thoughts?

The affection is steady and durable, sweet and uncomplicated. But, I think there's nothing happening. It's not one-sided, but it's like one of them is walled in. Btw, I looooveee 6/C in romantic readings.  #yummy IP: Logged |

The Two of Cups, this card represents true love, a balanced relationship, commitment, and all of the things that many of us hope for in regard to love and relationship. However, this will take work, effort, understanding and honesty. You will not be able to “wish” it into existence. This card only means that the potential elements for love are there, not the actual thing. The Four of Pentacles showing up may mean that you may be holding on to something too tightly or someone else is bringing that effect into your life, and that it is time to let this thing go in order to bring closure and satisfaction into your life. Look closely into your life and see what it is that you are holding so tightly. The Six of Cups is telling you that you should not become overly attached to the things you have known in the past. It can be comforting to go back into the past, to a more pleasant time. Sometimes in life, we just have to know when to move on. Always remember to stay in the present, that is where life is. In addition, know that there is help available to you, perhaps a family member or someone you trust. Please think about this.
That is my friends interpretation...which I felt wasn't really relative to the question? Just my opinion it doesn't tie in with the question asked at hand? Any thoughts we debated about this one lol

It's a sweet, pleasant card. Maybe it goes something like this - If the direct affection/partnership (2/C) is withheld (4/P) the result will be pleasant but transient report (6/C). If you don't show it, you have'll nothing but reverie in its stead. Happy New Year!
