How much time do you give for a question to be answered?

And between questions do you put the pendulum down and lift if up again or is it continous asking while holding the pendulum?

I own one, but I cant really answer that lol

What I do is that, if I asked a question already, I would just hold the pendulum from the bottom so it would stop spinning and when I ask another question, I would let it go but may be others have a way with their pendulums. I'm still learning about mine.
