Beautiful. I was so happy for Linda having Jerry as first love, I wish my own had been as sweet as he was.

So much loss and pain...she questions and sadly didn't get to put the ribbon on her beloved kitten, just as with Dadoo.

Both her friend and Dadoo spoke to her though, '...sorry I had been so dumb to die'...'to the Land of Love where the Valentine Man lives'.

Sweet and sad and comforting.

Don't know what the LOQ is either, it's a secret, even the name we don't know. It even sounds like 'lock' huh?

Where is the key?

It is a tough question.

I like Dadoo and everytime I read Gooberz, I like Dadoo too much.
Everyone in my family used to call my Dad as Dadoo(somehow my nephew called him and we all started calling him, as in Hindi language we call grand-father as Dada), so it brings love for me in all forms.

Canto Two begins with this..

The doors are many
but the key is one
and the end lies there
where naught is done:
that space has room
for a winged and wondrous child
(like the magic womb beguiled
a spark to substance
with her rounding word,
and whirled a little world to being
by insistent life untombed the void's
reality).

that child alone
shall fly the abyss
and seek the Double Flower
and reach the Second Sun.
Myrahi is his name
whom those may claim companion
who have done the same:
Companions of Myrahi.

Kyril Demys (Musaios)
*Wings of Myrahi

The Key is the Self.

(Just remember who you are. {GURU})

That's what this Canto is all about.

Know ThySelf.

The Sun behind the Sun, the Higher Self. We're all in the same boat here, that's the Key.

When we can find that place in the Heart where no-one is left behind.

Boys can't be Brown Owls.

Girls can't be Priests.

Character is determined by colour.

Grief is externally expressed, or it's not there.

Can't be a Brownie, til you are old enough; otherwise you are LOQ'd out.

All these references to outer elements and that being the determining factor of what we are.

Often we don't feel that we are good enough, for one reason or another.

That we won't Measure Up.

When the Reality is that we are Universes Within.

(I think it is called paradosis, in Greek. The discrepancies between God's Law and man's.)

There were a few things touched upon that I would like to point out. One being the reference to the Brown Owls stopping the rain. The other being the Ribbons.

Scarlett Ribbons

These two have farther reaching connotations than I can comment on at this time.

I'm still thinking.

I'm still working on it.

I read it again last night, but it's still incomplete.

Getting closer, though.

Some of my personal triggers were as follows.

The Train
The Sister Watering the Rose
Scarlet Ribbons
Arcturus/Spica
Rainbow Glasses

I'll tell you why as I find Time.

The Train

When I was young, I always thought the old Train Station was a Magickal Place. It looked like a Crystal Palace to my childlike gaze. I didn't even know what it was, I just loved it.

When I read the Narnia stories; where they were in a Train Station or any of the storyline pertained to a Train, it gave me the same ghost fingers up my spine. The same with that Lucy song. I never knew why.

It was just there.

My Great-Grandfather retired from the Railroad, his overalls hang in the garage, even to this day, I think.

That part of the Canto evoked the same kind of response.

The Ribbons are the tie that binds.

quote:

Blest be the tie that binds
our hearts in Christian love;
the fellowship of kindred minds
is like to that above.

And:

There's a road
Stretched out between us
Like a ribbon on the high plain
Down from Phoenix through Salinas
Around the bend and back again

Like the two Ribbons binding the Laurel Wreath in Key XXI.

The Sister Watering the Rose
Scarlet Ribbons
Arcturus/Spica
Rainbow Glasses

One I didn't mention was the Al-tar.

It was kind of funny, I was looking everywhere for a Notebook. So I could write down certain key points as I read?

Well, I was searching madly through the house for one. There is one Place in the house where I don't normally go? Well, I thought I had a Notebook from my youth up There, but it wasn't. Anyway, it was odd to find it mentioned in such a parallel fashion in the Canto immediately after.

The Sister Watering the Rose

Tried real hard to find a picture. This one is the closest I found. It is taken From the Place.

There is a Garden, it is in front of an addendum to this Church. I guess it is a School, I'm not sure.

Anyway, I have this picture in my mind of walking past in front of the Wrought Iron fence; waist high, that surrounded this Garden. There was a Ghostly Sister Watering a Rose. All I feel is complete surprise.

Now I'm not sure if this is a memory or a Dream, can't think of why I would be walking there, but maybe.

Also I have a Painting of a Blue-Clad Ghostly Figure in front of the Carmel Mission that evokes this childhood memory/dream. Same feel to it.

Perhaps a Past-Life, unsure.

I have also had a Very Lucid Dream of this place (Carmel Mission) where we were sitting in the Alcove of a Corridor, setting free Doves. (You know how they have Adobe Arches along an outer Portico Passage outside those Missions?) Didn't know that was the place, until I once saw a picture. Also, I met an Organic Gardener from there; unexpectedly, when she gave me a calling card here. About six hours away.

I'm not Catholic. The Church I was raised in is up the hill (from the picture.)

Scarlet Ribbons

Now this is a real-time one. My Parents played this song for me especially as a child.

So it has Personal Resonances.

Heaven Knows my abundant locks would probably benefit from such an addition, not that I ever bothered.

Arcturus/Spica

This is where my Quaoar and Vertex lie.

I never knew about these two things, until I came to LindaLand. That was when they were activated by Eclipse, as they still are now.

It is the most Powerfully Electric thing I have Ever in my life felt.

Rainbow Glasses

I have told the Tale of the Rainbow Glasses here.

And that will conclude the Personal Chimes Hour.

Until I remember five more, ha!

Oh, and I forgot (see) to mention.

When I had my first Summer job, it was at St. Francis. It was a School.

I got the same Ghostly Vibes, especially when we would go down the Corridors between the different Classrooms.

Schools and Churches both have that Magickal OtherWorldly Feel to them.

Especially when they are deserted, you never really feel alone.
