Hi...I know I am new to this forum and my reply to this thread my seem presumptuous, but I really feel the need to respond to this one. My intentions are only that of Love & Light...Ok, this topic is a bit touchy to many....but this is were I think Linda was right....that in order to find your twinSelf..your other half, you have to remain sexually pure and the desire in itself will help bring you to the other. Our physical body is Sacred and sexual union is Sacred, when we do what we please with either, it does way more harm than good. The Sacredness of our bodies is to be cherished and shared only with the One who truly fits (like two pieces of a puzzle). When we give ourselves to another, both physically and sexually, we are seperating ourselves from God. Sexual Union = True Communion! The rules of chastity are there for a reason...to help us keep the beauty of our Selves, Sacred! We, as humans, have many physical desires of the flesh...too much of anything of the flesh is damaging....food, drink, exercise, sleep, sex, smoking, ect. But, just because we have these desire's does not mean that we are to give into them. Sexual union has two purposes....creation and communion....so, to address sue g, just because you can't have any more children or choose not to have any more, does not mean you are all dried up....there is still the other aspect...communion. This is with your otherSelf and with the Divine....which is, as I keep saying.....SACRED!!!! This is a lesson that took a long time for me to learn and is not an easy one in our current culture. And as for the Creation stories in Genesis...the second Creation story was written FIRST....it predates the first story by 500 years. The important thing to remember is that these stories were written by humans trying to explain their version of the Beginning. There is Truth, just not historical truth (in terms of scientific historical truth). This is my academic field of study, not just a hobby during my free time, so it is something I take very seriously. However, I also live for peace, Love and balance...so I truly do not want this to be considered offensive to anyone, just knowledge offered in Light & Love!

That argument trying to use religious redaction about the age of writings is bull.

Not true.
There is a big division amongst Biblical scholars on that issue.
And Love and light is tossed about these days as easily and without any real meaning by many.
It sounds "pretty".
Or polite..
Like..
"we'll do coffee sometine"...
but never find time to do so.And sexual union?
Replace it with communiction?
Add them to each other.
But at 51 I am Not going to "dry up" and bliss out and pretend that sex is only for the young.
Someone who would indicate sex is meaningless either is not getting any or is on some ego/guilt trip trying to delude themselves into thinking they are better than others. And since my soulmate....
Is 15 years younger....
Your idea is that when I married and had my ONLY child with exH#1 that I was not supposed to do that because he was not my soulmate. After 26 miscarriages I say screw that attitude! I was supposed to have a child!
And.. Well dear...
my soulmate was 3 months old then!!!!!
And I was supposed to wait?
Yeah right...... Sex is natural and a requirement for health wether you believe that or not.
Atrophy of the sexual organs and genitals occurs without it. Many health problems come from not engaging in it...be it with another or by self gratification and release.
Non soul mate sexual unions can be very sacred and Tantric. But many folks are sexually/socially immature and do abuse this blessing. But not everyone is abusing this gift of our bodily responses. Do not assume that sex is bad just because it is not with one's soulmate.
How about my elderly friends who lost a soulmate to death?
Not allowed to remarry and have sex I suppose?

I have noticed an awful lot of folks searching for their soulmate...
Or soultwin(I detest that term!) and few have found theirs yet.
VERY FEW! 
If folks only had sexual unions with their soulmate...
The human population would dwindle down to species inviability!
Very few children would be being born.
AND......
I suppose you think I am not with my soulmate because I cannot have a child with him.
How ridiculous!

And how we choose to express that love and respect varies(often greatly) from person to person.

Dearest Fayte,I am so sorry that you got the wrong impression from my post. I too have a 13 year old daughter from a past best forgotten (or at least gracefully transcended). I am neither naive, nor a prude...how can I be... I am a Scorpio after all! Please reconsider what I wrote as what I feel is Sacred. Part of this comes from so much pain of too many years of womens bodies being used and abused. And our right as women to reclaim the Sacredness of our Selves! As for the Biblical topic, this we will just have to agree to disagree on... P.S.
