Anyway, the Bible says, "3. Do not ... till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their brows. 4. And I heard the number of those who where sealed; and it was a hundred and forty and four thousand, of all the tribes of the children of Israel."

As I have learned it, 144,000 is not a number of individuals, it is a number that signifies the state of an individual. It is a number that symbolizes a specific level of spirituality.

Oops, it is later than I thought! I will have to finish tomorrow! Sorry!

Wow Aus, I never thought of it that way. We are indeed talking about a vibrational rate - each center, when activated, vibrates to a certain frequency - but I never thought to actually correlate the number literally or scientifically!

Very interesting! I will have to look into that a bit myself.

The Lamb and the 144,000

1-Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

It's impressive the amount of 12. But this passage is really something.

Revelation 21*please notice the 21

The New Jerusalem

12-It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.
13-There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.
14-The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

I want to emphasize that on the verse above , the 12nd wall were decorated with amethyst.

I work with stones and the amethyst increases our spiritual and mediunic capacity , stimulates the intuition and the meditation process.

If we go to numerology and if we reduce the number 12, we will have the number 3.
Let's see some considerations of Linda G. on the number 3.

THE NUMBER 3

The Number 3 vibrates to the planet Jupiter. It represents idealism, higher education, foreign travel, and religion. 3 is the number of optimism, movement, expansion and the Holy Trinity of the body, mind, and spirit.

I just got through reading Mary's topic on the Bible and I just wanted to tell you that I have been enjoying your posts immensely and the sheer volume of knowledge you are sharing is impressive.

The numerological references to the #12 are something Linda wrote about in depth as well... but you probably knew that I agree that there is a code there for sure.

Anyway, about this topic, the only time I have heard about this particular #144,000, is through a friend of mine who is Jehovas Witness. I'm not clear on the exact beliefs of that religion, but I seem to remember that they associate that # with the # of people who will go up to heaven to live beside God after the end. The rest will remain on Earth in a sort of heaven on Earth or Eden. (At least until the Sun goes super-nova , just a joke...no offense, please ) Not sure if this explanation is right, it may be a common knowledge within many religions, but it is the only time I have heard of it.

But I would guess that it is not to be taken as literal in interpretation. It is a very interesting concept to think it may have something to do with frequencies or levels of spirituality.

Another thing to think of (speaking of numerology) is that it adds to 9, the sacred number of eternity...

The thing is that, I just love numerology,and when I see a "number" I just can't resist

I agree with you about the # 9. In fact,every time that I see 144.000,my mind always make that connection.
I'm a # 9 also (name).

Maybe I'll post some more "thoughts" here...but first I want to know the opinion of the Expertise of the house

This is the definition of the Arcana III :

The Empress.
