What do you think about man's arrival to Mars? Why hasn't he visited it yet?
I would like to interchange opinions. Wouldn't you?

This is Ra's specialty. Maybe he can tell us some of the stuff he knows (whenever he has enough free time).

Sure, Randall. Let's wait for Ra's free time. There are some theories around there... and are interesting.

Yes, time ... d@%^. I have none of it right now! But Randall is right, this is a subject that fascinates me like no other!

What do you know about Mars, Bases Loaded? I am ready for the Grand Slam!

Well, Ra, about Mars I know what anyone knows: it is our neighbor, the red planet, fourth from sun, has two natural satellites, it's smaller than Earth, its atmosphere is full of CO2... but the most important is that colonizing it has been man's dream since... let me see... I don't know. Sorry.

Mars made ancient men think on wars and conquests, and modern man talks about a peaceful colonization of it, but the truth is that mankind has never been so peaceful.

Please you tell me (us) now something you know as the specialist on this matter. By the way, I didn't know you were an expert on Mars. That sounds good. Well, you'll say what. Regards.

Oh, I am no specialist, not by a long shot. I am simply utterly fascinated by the goings-on up there!

I have no time now, but I will tell you that I believe we have visited Mars, at least some of us (perhaps with a bit of assistance )... long, long ago. There is evidence there that will prove it.

Perhaps I should start with something more current.

To answer your questions, I believe that man's arrival on Mars is imminent. We have not done so yet for a couple of reasons. First, time/technology. We do have the technology to visit, but the time it takes to get there poses problems for a human crew. It is only a matter of time before we do this.

Secondly, and this is the main reason in my opinion, is that there are things on Mars that the powers-that-be here on Earth do not wish to yet divulge. There is life, at least on a microbial level, which was verified by the Viking Lander back in 1976. If you are interested in this covered-up aspect, read the book "Mars - The Living Planet" by Barry E. DiGregorio. He developed some of the tests/instruments that were carried to Mars on the Viking Lander, and is far too aware of the efforts of NASA to curb this information.

There are also structures - many of them. This is where my interest truly is focussed. The data coming back from the various spacecraft in orbit around the planet are nothing short of fantastic, and NASA is doing all that it can to explain these away as well. But it is getting ever more difficult for them to do this. With every photograph there is new verification of highly anomalous structures, and the efforts of NASA to cover them up is beginning to fail.

And water, both ice and LIQUID is being found all over the surface.

The public will know the truth very soon.

Ran across this...
The article says we can speed to Mars in 3 months! Hmmm....I still think there are better ways, and as usual I think NASA had this a LONG time ago and just doesn't want to tell us what the new technology is, so they throw out a bone.... oh well.

Aren't there are structures on the moon too, that NASA really doesn't want to talk about?

Ra -
This is talked about in great detail in Mars Mystery by Graham Hancock and also mentioned in Heaven's Mirror by the same author. But I think his theory is that there were civilizations on Mars but a comet hit the planet. Apparently the inhabitants knew the comet would hit and essentially moved to Earth.

It's great reading!

As I understand it, from Sumerian writings via Z. Sitchin and others, the Martian civilization was begun as a way station between Earth and Nibiru - our "missing" 10th planet. And there is some very interesting remote viewing data that tends to confirm the theory you stated as well.

I will someday get a chance to write a bit more about this, but for now it must wait!

Coincidentally, I dreamt yesterday that a base on Mars has been re-activated.

I believe that there was a civilization on Mars.
There are very good books of Zecharia Sitchin, and among other things, Sitchin's believes that there may be an outpost in orbit around Mars preventing current humans from getting there.

If there was a civilization on Mars capable of creating such thing, then what might have happened to it ?
A geological cataclysm is a possibility.

Analysis of the Martian meteorite suggests the Red Planet was warm and wet - an environment that is likely to have been hospitable to life.

Today, it is permanently frozen. The change may have been caused by a very large and rapid slippage of Mars's outer crust, a phenomenon that has also been cited as a possible cause of the cataclysmic end of Earth's last Ice Age.

Others scientific evidence ,confirms that Mars did at some unknown stage in its history, suffer a catastrophic crustal displacement.
If this had happened during the planet's warm and wet phase, any civilization present at that time would almost certainly have been wiped out leaving behind only whatever scattered ruins and monuments .

The pyramids and the sphinx on Mars seem to fit the bill. And if they are artificial, then the implications for our idea of ourselves and our place in the universe are shattering.

Sorry Ra

I just saw your last post talking about Zecharia Sitchin ...

There's also a theory that create a link between Mars and Earth.A striking characteristic of the pyramids and Sphinx of Giza is the way in which they are integrated into a grand architectural plan, based on mathematical and astronomical data.

There is no evidence that the pyramids were used as tombs. Some time ago,I read that two narrow shafts emanating from inside the Great Pyramid were directed to two specific stars: Zeta Orionis, one of the three stars in Orion's belt, and Sirius, in the constellation of Canis Major.

Several specialists believe that the principal Giza monuments form an accurate terrestrial 'map' of the three stars of Orion's belt as these constellations appeared in 10,500 BC.

So I ask to mys-elf :Who could have been observing the skies over Giza in 10,500 BC and who, at that date, could have had the technical capacity to realize such monumental works as the Sphinx and the pyramids?

Egyptologists assert there was no civilization on Earth at that time, let alone one capable of planning and building such immense, well engineered structures.

If they are right, why do the alignments of Giza so plainly and repetitively mirror the skies of the 11th millennium BC?

Many cientists are convinced there may be a 'terrestrial connection' between Giza and Cydonia - the region of Mars where some mysterious structures are located - perhaps a common source that imparted the same legacy of knowledge and symbolism on both worlds.

What do you think ?
