Hi, All.

I'm very interested in fairies (using this as a broad term). I am a big nature lover and animal lover. I saw a tree spirit about a year ago and I can't find the right word right now to express how wonderful I felt, when I saw it. I am trying to open myself to see more. Does anyone here see nature spirits and can you give me some ideas for welcoming them into my life or how to see them?? Thanks.

Hi WoodGnome!

Welcome to LindaLand! Bringing up fairies, I'm sure SnowWhite (Kian) will love to talk to you later today when she gets home from work! She's a very fairie person!

Here's a link to a page about contacting fairies:
http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/amethystbt/faeriescontacting.html

It includes a meditation and tons of Fairie lore.

hello today ..open your eyes ..the snow is falling just like leaves ..aquarian warriors rebuild the ship ..mr rainbow is gone ..hello my love ..here's to your heart ..unfold the lillies in the deep ..the season's over, the shores are sealed ..now ashen roses rain on the fields ..innocent dreamers, look what you've done ..now it's time for the phoenix to fly

Hi WG.... as Amber mentioned above I am a fairie person LOL

I have quite a few that have taken up residence in my home.

Just be open to them and let them know that you want to see them.. and leave them little goodies too.....

Forgot about that, Kian! Leaving little treats out for them at night is a good idea. I think Kian's are fond of.. was it peanut butter cups??

Yes, what sort of treats do you leave them and where? What do they look like, the ones in your house? Like the pictures you see? How long have you seen them?

The ones in my house have a serious thing for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (can ya blame them?).

I have seen them for about a year and a half now. I had a brownie that lived in my house in Northern California and he moved with the kidlets and me when we moved here to Los Angeles last November.

The first time I saw him it was around 2 am and I was on the computer and at first I thought he was a mouse on his hindlegs (that is the height he is) then I realized noooooooooooooooo not a mouse LOL and he had this "UH OH I've been seen look on his face" LOL and so I looked away and when I looked back a second later he was gone and I hunted to make absolute certain he was not a mouse (he wasn't).

I have seen him a few times since then. I've even had him bouncing on the bed above my head when I was doing a tarot reading on the phone for someone who I've since come to not trust at all. He was really warning me about what I might say to her. Here in this house he has a little white girlfriend, I caught her out of the corner of my eye sneaking across the carpetting

The other fairies here have less solid forms or at least I have not seen their solid forms. They are more tiny lights, or small quick impressions of someone. A few of them I've seen have had bird like faces with human like bodies.

When I was a teen I saw a member of the Tuatha de Danaan (fond of shapeshifting or taking on someone else's appearance and spiriting humans away to their realm)... I did know what was about simply because it was impossible for that person to truly be where I was seeing him LOL

My other best friend (not Amber I mean) I am convinced ( as she is) is a fairy here among us. She is of the notion that one of my past lives ended with my being taken by the fey and she befriended me there and decided to accompany me back here.

And my particular goddess is Morgan Le Fey.... she's come to me a few times and I have gone to her. She I feel so connected to I feel like I am a physical part of.

Anyway all of this is to say...

If you are open to receiving them, you will find they want to be near you. The more you are willing to see them and show that you are sincere and respectful, the more you will see them.

SnowWhite,

Thank you so much for sharing all that. No, I certainly can't blame them, about the peanut butter cups. I suppose I can leave them on the mantle, so the dog won't eat them. LOL Your experiences are fascinating. I read somewhere that there are house "gnomes" and things that actually help with the functions of the house. And this is why you can feel uncomfortable in the basement of certain houses, because you are sensing their energy. Not that they are evil, but just unusual. I live in a wooded area and I feel there are many around my property, but have only seen the tree spirit so far.

WoodlandGnome: I faeries and have many in my gardens. I sense them, smell them and see the twinkles at night fall... tween times is the best times to get in touch with your faeries!! I leave out a tinkling faerie chime, fresh water in a miniture crystal bowl and driftwood for them to sit upon.

WELCOME

Thank you for the link! I have heard of her and I think I should go buy her book. That article added more pieces to the puzzle. Isn't this site wonderful, that you can feel free to talk about such things.

I know, Sheaa... You've got some of the prettiest graphics!

Often, I steal them from ya and set them as my background on my profile.

..you will soon - I'm at work for a couple of hours tomorrow morning. The link is saved in my favourites there. I went through several faerie / pixie links & it popped up in a sprinke of fairy dust!

I adore fairy art, some are so breathtakingly beautiful. The one above is from; http://www.enchanted-art.com/enchantedart.asp
There's another one saved in my favourites at work I'll paste for you lovelies tomorrow
