The "little people" - teeny-tiny ones full of magic… and sometimes mischief. As Linda pointed out in Star Signs they are sometimes "called elves, sprites, or manitous" (vibrationally corrected by Linda as mannitous). Of course, calling them nature spirit druids would be fine by them as well. Linda writes that they "were charged with the sacred mission of hiding and protecting the Anglo-Saxon alphabet until the preordained time for it to be resurrected and gradually re-seeded into the mass collective subconscious of humans." They attached themselves to words to help restore English in its original form long broken up into many different languages due to the fall of the 'Tower of Babel.' So they took it upon themselves to put into action any word (harmonious or not) spoken by a human. It's like they are living words... manifesting themselves into the ethers when spoken – creating, breathing. They are the fairy folk, the sprites, the leprechauns written about, spoken of from the various Celtic regions where English began to re-form as ‘Olde English’. Linda very much believed in the little elves, a.k.a. druids as helping her to spiral many a great mystery. I loved her explanation of how we both (they and us) possess spirits... ours is called a Spirit and their spirit is called a sprite. She gives a wonderful explanation of their origins in the chapter on Lexigrams in Star Signs. eternal IP: Logged |
