Bernadette you're an '18'... your secondary single key number is 9 and your secondary karmic compound number is 18 (Spiritual-Material Conflict) according to Star Signs - page 255. Do you have this book? If not, I think the definitions are listed here at the site. When adding up the entire birthday for secondary numbers it is as aquamoon demonstrated:
December (12) = 3
16 = 7
1970 = 17 = 8

3 + 7 + 8 = 18/9

hey!! thanks everyone!!! i would have NEVER figured that out!!!! I do have the book!!! But sometimes I get confused and just need help you know? Now...I have read the meaning for the number 7, as I was born on the 16th..and I can say that is me...18 huh? That is the number that Ra has been struggling with, for that is the number of his unborn child...

I need to read these other definitions though...is it bad to be a 18/9??

here is another dumb question..but what happened to the 9 in my birthyear? and what if you were born in 1969? with the year holding 4 numbers that are not 0?

ok so. the number 9 yes, i am JUST like that...but the number 18 definition..i don't like that a bit...and i don't wanna be a 18...
i always knew i was doomed.

Bernadette, there's nothing bad about the number. It just brings you some challenges to deal with. But nothing that's worth it ever comes easy.
The 9 in your birthyear was added to the other numbers in your birthyear before being reduced to a single number. 1+9+7+0=17=8
(Similarly, 1969 would reduce to 25=7.)

The 8 was then added to the reduced single numbers of your birth date and your birth month (1+6=7 and 1+2=3) to give 7+3+8=18.

My karmic number based on my birthday is 19.
my birtday is 12/7/1980. I was really happy to ead it was such a great vibration but my life hasn't always been so wonderful, plus my other vibrations in other aspects of life are also positive. My astrological chart is also pretty positive. So i gues my question is does this stuff really have the signifigance that so man say it does? Hopeful!!!!
