The other day I was telling a friend that sometimes when I'm in my bathroom dyeing my hair, and it's all quiet, I hear voices in my head. Now, for a Mercury in Gemini, this is nothing unusual, I'm constantly hearing something in my head. But usually they're thoughts or memories, or songs stuck in my head. These were like, random snippets of conversation, that I hadn't heard before, and it was hard to know what they were talking abuot. I could make out the words, but they didn't seem relevant or the topics familiar. One time it sounded like some kind of political meeting was going on. Congress, or a trial, or something. I thought it was interesting, like I have a little transmitter and I'm picking up distant things. Anyway my friend said the same thing happens to her!!! She said she can't understand what's being said, but it sounds like lots of people having conversations. She asked if we were insane. I don't think so. I said that I bet a lot of other people experience this, but they don't say anything about it because they'll quickly be labeled insane. So I was wondering if anyone else here knows what I'm talking about. I want to show my friend we're not alone!

I know exactly what you are talking about, u are most certainly not alone. I've talked to my mum about the very same thing, I'm a libra Sun Aquarius Moon and My mum is a Aquarius Sun and Moon and what we hear sounds like radio waves in our head.
it's like tuning into your own current radio. because u were dyeing your hair, and in a relaxed enough kind of state it's quite easy to float away into meditiation and tune in.
The conversations that you had before and music etc. are floating there in the airwaves of our minds so all we have to do is listen and we can uncover anything.
An example of this is the light wave energy, the speed of light that we travel allows us to see the vibrational frequency of the earth's atmosphere as it is now but when we speed up the vibration, we'll see earth beyond the current speed of light, as light speeds up, the earth slows down and time stretches one month into one day etc.. Same with hearing sound. when u slow down and relax the thoughts and sounds of the day rush to your mind.
So yeah I know what u're talking about.
Have u ever listened to a whole song in your head like it's really coming from the radio?

Thanks quinnie. Yes I have lots of air in my chart. Gemini sun, mercury, and mars, Libra rising, Jupiter in Aquarius. My friend is a double virgo with sag. moon. We connect really well, so we call ourselves Mercurian Sisters.

I have an Aquarius rising and both Mercury and Jupiter in Gemini. I hear the voices, too! Lol. Mostly when I'm in a relaxed state, as Quinnie said. But I've never felt crazy because of it. I never really told anyone about it either. I just accepted it as something interesting that happens, and I'd try to catch a phrase or a word and see if it's anything significant.
Twice, I heard a word, the meaning of which I had no idea of, so I looked it up in the dictionary and online and it turned out that they did mean something after all!
The first word was "perpetual", before I knew what that word meant, of course.
The second word was "marilize", and it turned out to be an actual name, not a word.
So now I'm paying more attention to those "voices".

I have always heard the voices of the incarnate and discarnate. I scared my parents when I was learning to talk because often I'd pipe off with something crazy like; "Eisenhower met with......" or "Great grampa 'A' said hello..."('A' had died a few days before my birth, or some 7 months before I gave his message)....or I would say, Mr. and Mrs. 'O' are fighting....even though they lived too far away for me to hear such a thing.
It almost drove me nutters until I learned to
muffle it all.
I still cannot usually be in crowds and large cities are a cacophony of too many voices all trying to talk at once, leaving me with nauseating headaches and forehead pain.
I sometimes pick up people's thoughts too like the girl in the movie "The Minority Report".
It has had positive uses however. Especially whilst on death watches.
Or to get the news without reading a newspaper or listening to a radio or watching television.
I just tune in.
If it is serious news I then Google to see if it was for real and it usually was/is.
As much as the voices from various locales sometimes become annoying.....I do not think I could function if things suddenly became quiet. I have never known absolute quiet. Someone(s) or something(s) are always talking or thinking.
I go out of my way to muffle/block/filter talking or emanations from people so I do not hear them clearly. I avoid touching at times too.

Stuart Wilde has teachings on this he calls it the "collective unconcious"... I've heard these conversation snippets they usually come in 5 word bursts. Many others have heard it too.

You can google it or read one of his articles on his site.
