I have seen many threads about this. Its wonderful to think that all you have to do is change your name to change your life. What if in changing your name you are running away from a life lesson that you are here to learn? One day you will have to learn it so why hide from it? Maybe next time around it will be worse, you wouldnt know it, but what if? Any comments anyone? I was told once that it is the soul who chooses its name, and parents that would be able to help them learn thier lesson. Has anyone else heard this? IP: Logged |

Welcome Drea!! Yes I have heard that. I hated my name & give mys-elf a nic. But then when I discovered the essences of a name, I accept it. My name is Virginia and I have a Virgo moon & Linda calls Virgos Virginians. Also, when I hear my guide or higher s-elf it`s always the given name. So,based on this & other knowings, I do believe we are given our names prior to birth. juniperb

Can't run away from the Lessons of your birth number, but changing the vibration of your name can make it easier to bear. And maybe part of your Lesson is learning how to do just that. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Virginians???? Like the State of Virginia? I had a past-life regression that took me to Virginia in a War.My first re-memberence was dancing in a barn with Yankee soilders. The next was in a Civil-war virginia home, crying uncontrollably over a loss.I'm a Virgo....hmmmmmm IP: Logged |

Yup Annie, like the state. I`m not sure of her reference point, but you can read it in sunsigns, in particular on page 215. I like that reference cuz she says "THE VIRGINIAN IS NOBODYS FOOL" Hmmm, I too have had past life recall of the cival war there as a African slave girl, crippled & dragging mys-elf along the ground as the homestead burned around me. In this go-around, I have a club foot and am terrified of fire. Randall, I agree about the birth number. I am a 22 in all areas of my life; right down to my address & social security #. I`ve spent the first 20 years running from it. Now I`m working with it and and finding my true source within. I accept my challenges and mistakes with grace (um, maybe not every one or time ) but I`m healing, growing & am grateful for the opportunity to do so. juniperb IP: Logged |

Okay, here is a puzzle to ponder. When I was born I was given one name, then my Aunt decided she wanted to name her baby the name that I was given, so my Mom and Dad changed my name. Where does this all fit in to the thought that the spirit chooses its name?I was told by a numerologist that my original name would have made me a very sickly person......hmmmm. I just checked my social security number and it is a 5, just like my birth number!!! I would have never thought to check it....very interesting, indeed!!! ------------------ Hugs,LTD ~~The struggle keeps us young~~Daring to make mistakes and knowing there are none.~~DGM IP: Logged |

Hi LTD!! Hmmm, sometimes we just don`t listen to the voice within. Many times people name children out of obligation ( after family members ect), or because it`s the vogue & so on. Perhaps the higher power overrode the free will your parents were using. I use my sister ( a Taurus) as reference. My dad (Aquarian) wanted to name my sister Beatrice (ya I know )my mom, a Taurus, refused & named her Debra. She married at 18 & her life went to hell. She has advanced crones coupled with severe depression with a myriad list of other complications.. Her married name is a 22 & lexies all negative. Had her name been Beatrice, she would have had an earth number 5 & her lexied name is ALL positive. The bull overrode the intuitive. Thats just my "onion" but I feel the truth is in there. Good to see you! IP: Logged |

Blimey...there's a thought! Think i'm gonna have to thoroughly analyse my partner's surname before i go skipping up to the altar!Just a quick question to anyone who might know... i was given a different surname on my birth certificate to the name that i have used my whole life. Which would be my true name? For numerology's sake! (and suddenly an explanation appears for my confused, dizzy nature...!) ------------------ Allow your spirit to stretch and breathe, and grasp each lesson new, and whilst you grow and bloom, my friends - love and light to you. Hello, all! I have a question. When calculating the numerological value of one's name do you use all the names (e.g., first, middle, last) or just the first name and surname. Thanks a bunch!--Heather ------------------ It is never too late to be what you might have been -- George Eliot IP: Logged |

La-Tee-Da,Maybe the name you were given at first was the name you really wanted, but then had a ephifiany and your spirit decided to change its mind and picked another name. At the same time saving you from the sickly state you would have otherwise suffered through........ IP: Logged |

hmmm... this is all VERY interesting - specially the bit where LTD and Juniperb's sister had their name 'changed' very early on...Here is my situation to ponder... My Father (Cancer) wanted to call me 'Shelly' - but my Mother (Taurus) said that I would have been picked on at school (Kids games you know 'Smelly Shelly') - so she picked my name - 'Erin'. My life is so totally dominated by the number 4 - and here i was lugged with another 4 in my name! Bloody hell! Would a 2 (for Shelly) have been any better? Perhaps I should give it a try Thanx for the topic Drea LOL Nebel (Nothing much rhymes with Erin - so no teasing here ------------------ If you want to view paradise - simply look around and view it! Hi Nebel!! Nope, I think we get what we need. A 2 can make for an easier path than 4, except for free will. I`m a 22 all the way just like my sis. I was born w/birth defects & challenges by the bucket full too. HOW we work with the numbers is the key. We can fight & grumble about the challenges that stymie us or we can see the divine in it and apply it wisely to our lives. Star Signs rang my bell & my soul said "yup yup" thats it and I was able to work w/ that 22. It`s not an easy path & I falter along the way. I think being an Aquarius and an intuitive helped me see the clearer soul picture. My sis is Taurus & is very earthy only believing in the tangables. We`re all on the path to learn our way back to our divine origins; unless free diverts our route, then life can seem out of control. That 4 can challenge yet make you stronger and wiser in the process! Just my humble opinion here. juniperb IP: Logged |
