What a lovely thread ALA, I've been searching my memory for something to put here-so far I've just come up with this. When I was younger and going out to parties and clubs and generally getting up to all kinds of tricks there'd be times when I'd end up in some place,I might not know where I was, people I knew might of left, people might be taking drugs or their behaviour had got too much,I suddenly didnt feel safe, wanted to leave, wanted to go home. So of course I'd go and phone a cab, well there's been more than one occasion where I've been sitting in the seat,a bit worse for wear watching all the street lights fly by through the window, feeling the warmth return to my toes, and feeling like the cab driver I was sitting next to was actually an angel. Funny the way when I caught his eyes,I could see the most wondorous glint there, funny the way I could see a bright bright light shining from underneath his shirt, funny the way I hardly needed words to say as we both sat there in silent communion flying past houses in the twilight world. "Thankyou-here's your money, what's your name?" I never would see them again

Mazz,What a great ANGEL story! I believe that ANGELs are with us all the time, especially in times of need. You've reminded me of a story my sister tells...she and her husband were driving on the interstate one day when it was raining. Their car hit an oil spot and started hydroplaning. My sister said that while their car was doing circles on the interstate her husband placed a hand on her knee and she then knew it would be alright. Later she thanked he husband for his thoughtful gesture and he responded it wasn't him as he had both hands on the wheel trying to right the car. To this day, she swears it was an ANGEL and it has become an ANGEL story in our family. Thank you for sharing your story and reminding me of my sister's story. ALA IP: Logged |

I do! Many moons ago, my brother and I were in the front seat (with a friend in the back). He was driving. He had already hit a police car and had no insurance, and he was driving again (still no insurance). Well he hit a car (which would have sent him to jail, no doubt), but all three of us saw his bumper meld into the other car's bumper and go right through it! I said he must have a Guardian Angel. Or maybe we are all stuck in the Matrix. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Hi Randall,Pretty remarkable ANGEL story. It sounds like your brother deserved that angelic help. Hitting a police car is really, really bad luck! What are the odds. Anyway, I am glad it was you and your brother who were the benefits of that angelic intervention. Thanks for sharing. ALA IP: Logged | |
