How do you learn to have faith in your higher s-elf. How do you distinguish between Neptunian S-Elf delusion and truth?

If I listened to what the "word druids" and my higher S-elf told me I would probably be standing in Times Square telling everyone that Jesus was coming on a spaceship and that Justine Timberlake is really the anti-christ ... either that or I'd be locked away somewhere in a straight jacket.

Suggestions anyone?

Heidi

PS. Mercury in the 12th and Moon/Neptune conjunction doesn't help matters much.

hmmm.. yea those are interesting placings. i am sure you have other aspects in your chart that give you strength though, or else i doubt you would have asked this question.

faith is pretty much trust, right? i dont think you can force that kind of thing, although it seems to come naturally with age. i know that i trust myself WAY more now than i did when i was 20. i think it will come to you, and until it does (although i dont know your age, you could be 102, but you do have all those planets so it might come later in life). if you could train yourself to look at things objectively, that might help. call it a lesson from a libra try to see the other side of things. then you can achieve balance.

i try not to take those kinds of things too seriously, such as the word druids. i think if i personally took them seriously, i would probably go insane too. its like all the conspiracy theories about the new world order and all the other scary stuff, to survive with my sanity intact i have to just not think about them. thats just me. you gotta do what you do to survive. some people need to believe in something blindly. others need to seek the truth. some need to believe in nothing, and be totally pragmatic. its all relative and very personal.

i dont know if that answered your question lol. those are just my feelings on the subject.

i am very tired too, so if none of this makes sense i take the fifth

btw what sign is your moon and neptune in? what house? any hard aspects?

Thanks for the feedback Anafaery. I guess I come across as a kid in my posts. Truth is I am old enough to remember Nixon's impeachment. But I guess that's OK if you take into account Cappies are supposed to get younger as they get older.

In answer to your question, I have moon in Scorpio conjunct Neptune and square Mars and Lilith. The other aspects are all fairly positive.

Any thoughts?

I can`t advise you Heidi cuz I`m pretty much in the same spot My Neptune is doing a number on me and I`m having trouble knowing what is intuition or delusion/illusion . It`s in my 2nd house and conjunct natal Mercury until Sept ... Currently, I have a niggling feeling some one is up to no good towards me. I`m just laying low and let it play out. It sure is miserable feeling like a Neptunian whale !

We don`t need a straight jacket; we really just need to learn the lessons he has for us. When will you be out of his influence?

Hi Juniperb,

With my natal Moon conjunct Neptune, I don't think I'll ever be away from Neptune's influence. I've also had transiting Neptune on my Venus for a while.

Faith seems to come to people in different ways. For some it seems organic, present from the beginning, and for others it comes in a flash after a mystical or religious experience... plus myriad ways in between. I guess it's like making a saddle by hand -- part by part, making adjustments, until you have a whole that you kNOW will carry you without checking it all the time.

I think the key to unlocking 'Neptunian delusion' is to first, ground oneself. 'Delusion' is a close cousin to 'disillusion' and 'illusion', isn't it! I have my Merc opposite Neptune, and I have personally found it helpful to reach out to others in order to check my perceptions. Once you are grounded, then you can flow with your Neptunian waters... you can write, paint, perform about that Times Square stuff, if you see it as inspiration and messages, not as direct orders.

It's the "direct order" folk who are either prophets or straitjacket material -- difficult to tell, sometimes.

Have you ever taken a class at a metaphysical centre, Heidi? Spiritualists, or Wiccans, or other grounded folk who work with training people to work with their own intuition? Even an art class might help channel Neptune, who in the 12th, needs a way of communicating all that spirit! And is urging you to do so, apparently!

Maybe Ra has a suggestion.

ok this is the second post ive lost here today. i hate having to copy and paste every single post i write 'just in case'. *sigh* i guess i have to.

it just really bothers me because my reposts are hardly as well written as my first. i suppose the posts are too long. i honestly dont pay attention, i just write and when im done, i hit submit. its really starting to aggrivate me *sigh*

anyway heidi... i think you will be ok.

i have no idea how old anyone here is, i just got here, and i just dont know these things. you didnt sound like a kid, but how do i know? so i try to make my responses as generic as possible. i love that about cappys though, my mars is in cap, dya think that might help me from becoming senile in my dotage?

your sun is a big help to you. so is the mars/ lilith. many astrologers teach that squares and oppositions are bad and scary. they arent, and you are a case in point. perhaps if you didnt have your mars pulling you away from that 12th house, it might make you more lost? again with lilith, she is known as being a seducer, and it would seem she is seducing you away from that house. i dont know much about lilith yet though, so take that with a grain of salt.

id look at saturn in your chart. many astrologers often think of saturn as an awful mean planet, he absolutely is not. saturn is where we can find many of our strengths. he is the father planet, and yes he is stern, but that is because he wants his beloved children to not go astray. can you imagine being a dad and having your children making the same mistakes, when you warned them well what would happen? id be stern if i were saturn too!

its a little hard for me to comment with conviction regarding your planets, as i dont have your full chart in front of me. its pretty clear though, with what little i have, that you arent in any danger of the asylum... you have some strong things that are working for you. your sun needs tangibility to accept what you choose to believe, and the mars i already commented on.

i think what juni said is good. i think that talking about it with people will help you. i have neptune in scorp in the 11th, and talking with friends helps me to realize what is going on, and if im reading too much into something. i think if you can look at these things with a sense of humor, that might help too.

the bottom line is, if you believe something to be true, and it works for you, then by all means, believe in faeries and magic and rumplestiltskin and whatever helps you make sense of the world. just try to temper that with the mundane, lest you lose sight of us earthlings. i have a great respect for your moon/neptune. it would be delightful to be able to dream... and believe! alas, that is not my lot in life. i can see how it would be hard too... i appreciate the difficulty you face. you do have strengths though, there is no doubt about it.

what lunar says is very good too. it hadnt occured to me, doh! i really wish i had the time to interpret peoples charts... as it is i have about 5 charts i have to look at and report back to the owners of same... and its such pressure. its ok though, i love to help people. its my main motivation in life.

i would suggest along the lines of what she said, thats an excellent idea. if you could put your neptunian leanings in its own special place, where it could grow and have its own freedom, it could be the catalyst for some amazing art or writing. perhaps you could write stories, if you feel you have no artistical ability? any creative outlet to give your ideas room to breathe and grow... then they wont be pushing into your every day life. kudos to you lunar, well said! id do the thumbs up smilie but i honestly simply do not have time to hunt for the ubb code *sigh*. i have this forum and another open and i am answering posts in both, and i have those charts waiting, argh i wish i had more time.

heidi, your moon and neptune in scorp gives you a gift from the heavens to see the depth in things and the intensity to carry them through. i have a neptune in scorp too. i can relate. i am very deep that way. i have a lot of other things in my planet that help me, and at a glance you do too. i would still look at saturn. if you are unsure let me know where your saturn is and what his aspects are and i will do me best.

the universe has given you a gift. theres no doubt about it. often when we are given gifts for our household, it takes awhile to figure out where to put them so that they accentuate the rest of the room, and puts the gifts themselves in the best possible light.

Hi anafaery

and LunarGirl

Good advice

Lunargirl, wow, yours was spot on for me. I am a Spiritualist and today I start a seminar of flower readings Flowers are a huge portion of my life and to use my intutition, higher s-elf and guides to read them is so exciting!! I k-now this will (re)ground me plus give me another way to help with my readings

I am really excited about it and was so suprised to see you mention my belief/faith for grounding

Anafaery, maybe here you can be introduced to faeries and magic and rumplestiltskin and let your dreamer Elf out to play .

I don`t yet have the grasp of interpreting astrology, but I`m working on it.

Thanks Lunargirl and Anafaery. Hello again Ra.

Lunargirl ... I don't really think that Jesus is coming in a spaceship or that Justin Timberlake is the anti-christ. I was just using that as an example. Some of the random thoughts in my head are just so "out there" that sometimes I question what is intuition and what is imagination.

I know that my moon/neptune conjunction makes me very intuitive. I just need to be able to find a way to discern what to listen to and what not to ... for eg. I used to get hunches about earthquakes and think they were silly, until I realized that usually within 24 hours of one of those "hunches", a major earthquake occured ... usually in North or South America. I have now learned to listen to those hunches and as a result have been about 75% accurate in my predictions (not in their location though ... just knowing that one will occur.)

I get all sorts of warnings, random messages and often feel like I'm in the presence of something in my vicinity which can not be seen with the human eye but I just don't know how to draw the line between f-act and fiction, fantasy and reality.

But no one taught me how do that. It had to teach myself "not to think, just accept" if that makes any sense to anyone.

I have been involved in numerous astrology and metaphysical groups but never felt right about any of them. I always felt that most of them had ulterior motives ... mostly money. I wanted to be involved in a group that made me feel like I did when I read Linda's books. The only place that has ever made me feel like that is here in Lindaland. I guess that is why I am comfortable talking to everyone here about it.

Don't get me wrong ... I don't walk around looking like a reject from a Greatful Dead show (I like the Greatful Dead by the way.) I am a career professional working in corporate America (ugh! yes I sold out) and don't ever discuss any of these things with anyone other than the folks at Lindaland.

I know too, Lunargirl, that I need a creative outlet. I write poetry and I do automatic writing. I would do anything to be a musician but I don't have the patience or persistence to learn an instrument or the courage to stand up in front of people and sing.

I don't know where I'm going with this ... I may just be rambling because I am tired. I guess it's the Capricorn in me ... and Anafaery ... my Saturn in Pisces in the third ... that wants to be able to structure and control all these random thoughts and I suppose that Neptune doesn't like structure and that I'm trying to rationalize something that can't be rationalized.

So anyway, thanks for the input from both of you. I think I just answered my own questions. I think my higher S-elf is being tested, knows all the answers and the answers are going to have to come from within. But all of you have helped point me in the right direction.

Thanks Anafaery and Lunargirl! Hang in there Juniperb

Ra ... I'd still love to have your thoughts. (PS really looking forward to reading your thread about 144,000 ... I need to sit down and focus on it. I can't seem to get that number out of my head now!

ah ok heidi, the saturn makes a lot of sense. in the third too, the house of mundane household things... hmm. i agree with you about joining groups, its hard to find one that isnt self serving. thats why i do not join any astro groups, or other kind of groups. i just cant take that risk, and i often dont fit in with those groups because my personality, well it tends to question things and i dont believe things blindly, so it upsets their nice little belief systems *sigh* i am glad that you have some insight now. im glad we could help you, yay! the best insight comes from within i think, although sometimes people need some inspiration.

i can relate with the 4 leggeds. if i didnt have my cat, id go bonkers. maybe one day i will make a post about my cat. hehe. its an interesting story i wish i could have a horse!!! my sag rising has always loved horses, such amazing creatures, they are. i would love to have a horse friend.

have to post this in three because it is too long, but thankfully i saved it

juni, i do believe in my magical things... i just keep them deep deep deep inside. i dont allow them usually to enter my everyday life. i am the faery though! i never admit this to anyone because i know they would think i am nuts (and so i keep it to myself because its not worth it) but i am a faery. perhaps not one like you read about in stories, but in my very core, thats what i am. can you imagine if i told people that in real life? LOL!! id be in the psych ward for sure.

oooh flowers!!! i love flowers, more than almost anything!

ok i will tell you a secret. if money was not an object, this is what i would do.

i would buy some land in the interior of british columbia, in a region where there is lots of rain and thunderstorms. i just happen to like them, and wish we had more here. we have lots of rain, but not enough for me and sadly we havent had many storms. anyway i would get a huge piece of land there. i would build a dream house, and decorate it how i wanted, it would be a fantasy house!!! my bedroom would be a faery paradise, with an indoor water garden (i LOVE water) and it would have koi in it, and lotus too! i would have lots of fresh flowers in every room, and aromatherapy piped in through the air circulation. i would have luxurious fabrics, and carved wooden furniture. lots of twinkling lights, and it would look like a midsummer nights dream. thats my bedroom... (hope my husband could deal with it, lol!)

in my guest bedrooms and other rooms, they would all be themed. one room would be egyptian themed, one would be like the ghost towns of the old west. one would be like a medieval Great Hall, and one would be like a victorian library. oh the fun i would have! and i could dance around and be the faery i am, cause id have money so no one would dare criticise me *giggle*

id have horses and my own farm (kind of like la petit trianon, at versailles) and i could live the way i want to! lots of animals, gardens... i have a fantasy where i would have different gardens for different moods, like the moon garden (le jardin de lune) and one for each of the signs, oh believe me i have GARDENS planned

alas, i have to save these fantasies for the moments before i go to sleep... its so fun to think about. real life can be just as wondrous i suppose... but its nice to dream.

Wow anafaery, what an idealic lifestyle. Do you think the room themes and gardens are from past life memory? The floating faery, memories of beinng pure spirit and feeling free to spin and dance with the wind?

I believe my love of gardens( 7 of them) and four leggeds are past life carry overs. They add sanity to a disturbing period in history for me. I am blessed to have been able to have these gifts in this life and thank the God/dess daily for them.

Keep believing and ordain these dreams into physical reality.

juniperb

PS I believe you are a Faery

Hey, All!

Heidi -- yeah, I know you were exaggerating -- I think my reply lacked a smilie or two for the giggle I actually had coming out over your example.

(and anafaery -- the smilie limit is 7 or 8, or your message won't post. There is a cut-off for length, too, but I don't know the character or line limit for that)

juniperb -- read on...

I guess I'm a really lucky person spiritually, because years ago I found a spiritual centre that combines Spiritualism with New Age thought and yogic practices -- that is nonprofit, doesn't have creeds or dogmas, and doesn't charge too much for great metaphysical courses. So while I can't call myself exclusively a Spiritualist, as I am far more spiritual than religious, I have studied mediumship and other subjects off-and-on for years, with amazing teachers. I have considered becoming a Spiritualist minister, but that's another story. For me this place exemplifies the kind of communities Linda talks about -- non-profit, no ulterior motives, although as a political person, I'm well aware of the political currents and change the centre has been through -- must be my Saturn (Cappy's ruler) in Pisces in the 12th... It was in classes there that I learned to differentiate between vibrations, visions, and fancies, and when to take seriously the thoughts that would pop into my head, and when they were just my thoughts. Working with experienced mediums, the students would share what they experienced, and the mediums would tell them what they saw -- a spirit guide, an image, etc. We did a lot of different exercises. I guess the main thing is to find a community somewhere, and Heidi, it's great that you've found Lindaland, but I hope you continue to look for a class near you. It's so amazing to be able to develop understanding of one's gifts, in order to trust them. There's also a pretty good book available called An Introduction to Psychic Studies, by Hal N. Banks, in case you haven't already acquired it. It's a course for independent and classroom study. Mind you, everyone is different, and given my 1st House Merc I thrive in a classroom situation. You probably don't need all this advice -- you just need to be seeing some results to solidify your faith, right?

juniperb-- today I signed up for a Level I Reiki class being given by the Centre! I am so excited -- it happens in a couple weeks! If it goes well I'll take the II and III classes too -- given the centre's policies about profit and teaching (teachers are not salaried -- all monies are donated to the the place), I can actually afford to learn -- Reiki classes are VERY expensive otherwise, I've learned.

I have a dear old friend with a ScorpMoon conjunct his Neptune... he's a Sag, and usually sports that Saggi Kevlar attitude, but the intensity and sweetness of that conjunction keeps him grounded, in a weird, sees-more-than-is-visible manner. Lousy temper, though. He's in NYC, too bad, Heidi -- you'd get along! His Venus is in Capricorn, and he likes brunettes!

cheers,
Lunargirl

For everybody's interest, the book I mentioned lists addresses in the U.S. and Canada for The Central Premonitions Registry. Premonitions may be sent to:

US - Central Premonitions Registry, Box 482, Times Square Station ( Heidi -- Times Squ.! ) , New York, NY 10036

Canada - Premonitions Registry, Toronto Society for Psychical Research, 10 North Sherbourne Street, Toronto 5, Ontario, Canada (<-- missing a postal code)

Meantime, here's a Google search for "Premonitions Registry": http://www.google.com/search?q=premonitions+registry&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Hey Lunargirl, Anafaery, Juniperb and SeaNymf,

Lunargirl -
Now I know why you are such a wealth of good information ... Mercury in the 1st ... you are a walking Encyclopedia. And I definitely know about the Scorpio moon temper ... I have a really bad feeling I am about to get kicked out of my apartment because of it (ouch!).

Anafaery -
If you have a photo of you cat, check this out

http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/001855.html

Hi SeaNymf -
I think Kelly Osbourne is a little more like it ...

Juniperb -
When I win the lottery ... hehe ... I am going to have a sanctuary for unwanted cats staffed full time by vetrinarians. It will be for cats who are in animal shelters that no one else wants. *sigh* How could anyone not want any kitties.

Love to you all,

Heidi

i forgot to say that if i won the lottery i would give a LOT to charities and perhaps set up one of my own. especially with cats! they are the most neglected animal, imo, although i am noticing a lot more no-kill sanctuaries for them in later years. i would do that too. i LOVE cats. i love all animals but kitties just speak to my heart, and they are precious to me.

i dont have a pic of my kitty sadly. i have some on a roll that hasnt been developed yet, so maybe one day. i will start a thread about my kitty soon, to share with you. i think you would find it cute. hes an amazing cat. he gives me reason to keep on keepin on. i will check out that thread though! thank you

Lunargirl, thanks for the insight and links!
It would be wonderful if everyone would rediscover their inate abilities I had an intutition you were a part of the Spiritualist community . There are some very intutive knowflakes here and I hope they read your post. I`ve only studied spiritualism for a few years and found to round it out, I needed other spiritual arenas also. I spend each summer studying a different method of mediumship and intutive readings. I would love a yoga class to enhance me, but they`re unheard of here

Yay, for you Sadly, the Reiki class`s take more time than I have to give. Next year will be healing class`s instead and I am looking sooo forward to them.

Heidi and when I hit the lottery, I`ll help you with your cattery out there. I already take in kitties abandoned/injured and it can be so darn costly. Cats rule!

juniperb

Do you have to play the lottery to win it
