Hiya Silverbells I don't know where to start with this, so i'll just start and hope i make sense!
From what I've read, as we fill our bodies with toxins - cooked foods are toxic to the body, as well as all the other things; coffee, alcohol etc - a mucous layer is formed on our digestive tract. All the way from the tip of our tongue to our bum. This was originally designed to protect our body from the odd mistake, like a rotton piece of fruit. It was then erased by our body soon after, and the natural processes could resume. However, our modern diet is one huge 'mistake' and the mucous layer is not removed, but keeps getting thicker - making assimilation of nutrients difficult, peristalisis slow (The movement of food through the digestive tract), and provides a haven for parasites and harmful bacteria.
Now this layer is not present on everyone, and obviously the older or more overweight you are, the more likely you are to have it.
I have done many cleanses and fasts to rid myself of this layer and the parasites within it - without much success. A friend of mine tried the "Cleanse and Purify Thyself" cleansing system by Richard Anderson (Which has a web page "Arise and Shine", but sorry i can't remember the address) and had some great results - passing many feet of this mucoid matter. Now I tried this system and have been so sick i was nearly hospitalised. I guess I am saying this becasue the man who designed this system was the one who said about womans periods stopping when they are 'clean'.
Who or what do you believe these days? What is the 'truth'?????? (other than your own - which really is the only truth) My friends truth was that he thought this cleansing system was the bees knees. He would probably believe everything in the book. My truth is that i can never remember being so sick in my life, and i have my doubts about this mans claims.
I've read in many places that womens periods will stop when they are 'clean'. But like you my scientific mind won't accept that these women can concieve under these conditions. Should we just have faith? Or are we right to be doubtful? I can't answer that Silverbells. Maybe if you find the book, you can decide for yourself? Let me know how you go Sorry i couldn't be more helpful!
LOL
