I was pondering today on this as an even number would make routines easier ie eat pizza twice a week 3 days apart, but you cant do this in a 7 day week. I thought maybe 7 because 7 is a number of sacrifice, so this fits cos the concept of time makes "civilisation" run smoothly but its also a barrier to a spiritual existance. ACTUALLY can anyone give me some down to earth ,non light and lovish, advice on understanding that time doesnt exist?

Time is a neccesary componant to the human illusion. That sounds as you said, "light and lovish" but it's truth. Thats the drive-thru window version because I gotta run. Stay tuned. IP: Logged |

Hi Jason,I think the easiest way to describe the "concept" of time is the way we measure it. All calculations are based on the Sun. If we removed it, how would we know what time is? Linda had the example oof two suns sitting equidistant from the Earth in a perfectly straight line. This would mean daylight would be constant, and therefore impossible to know what a "day" (or year, etc.) is. Other ways include noting the radiation of the sun and how much it expends over "time", or looking at the ticks of a crstal - so many thousand could represent a second, etc. However, these ideas could really only be stumbled upon as no one would actually seek time if they didn't know it existed... Our illusion is further enhanced by society. The consensus for the average lifespan limits everyone to think that they have to die around that age. If the average was 236.4, then people would drop off around that number. I'm not sure why the average at the moment is around 70 something (I think it is), but it could be due to your first suggestion about a seven day week. I don't know what you mean by 7 being the number of sacrifice, but I believe like the Chaldean numerology system (and Linda) that 7 if the number of spirituality, magic, mystism, mysteries, enigmas, etc. That is *ultimately* why we have 7 day weeks (and why so many people question it). If you look into it, 7 is a highly unusual number as Linda pointed out in Star Signs. Add 7 to the numbers from 0 to 10 (and even onwards) and always reduce the number to a single digit by adding all digits (14=5) and it's quite amazing - but I'm getting off the topic. Rather than being a barrier, couldn't it be a gateway? If you question the week, then the answers will always "illuminate" you a little, and help you understand why there is no time. Without this learning, the understanding fails, and you will always chained to the 7-day week. Questions are more important than answers BTW, I was born in Melbourne, and currently have heaps of rellies there. Probably a week is 7 days because it is the space between moon phases eg from new, to first quarter to full to third quarter. The first calendars would have been lunar - still used in Arabic, Indian and Chinese astrology. IP: Logged |
