Also I have picked a read that correlated the sphinx with a meshing together of Leo and Virgo. Any takes?? IP: Logged |

the myth of isis and osiris is a beautiful love story. isis and osiris were important gods of egypt. osiris has a brother named set, and set was jealous of osiris, and some believe he wanted isis for his own. it was a classic abel and cain story, one brother was intensely jealous of the others position in life, and this ended in fratricide (the murder of ones brother). isis and osiris were immortals, and could not be killed by mundane means. set dissected osiris into 14 pieces, and set those pieces to the winds where they are said to have scattered throughout this earthly space and throughout time. it is said that every time isis reincarnates her mission is to find a lost piece of her beloved soul mate. the legend states further that once all the pieces of osiris are collected and returned through her love to their natural state, he shall arise as perfect as he was before sets jealousy got the better of him, and the two of them shall reign over earth forever, banishing set forever and bringing a state of true and lasting peace and love to our suffering earth. its a myth that is very close to my heart. i hope this helped *cannot wait for isis to complete her quest* *sigh* ~ana ps i dont know about books, try googling and im sure you will have tons of hits. I've read a few... they're kind of boring, but I love the "knowledge that sticks". 1. "The Orion Mystery" is my favorite because it links sooooo many theories together and paints egypt onto the stars. One of the authors - Robert Bauval then wrote a couple of others which I didn't like as much. 2. "The Phoenix Solution" is next and explains the asteroid belt - as I've explained in another thread recently... 3. "The Mayan Prophecy" while about a different race has some VERY awesome stuff. For instance the lost history of Maya is incorporated into ONE picture! Absolutely amazing, and every page was interesting. 4. "The Fingerprint of the Gods", now, I haven't read this one yet (it's coming up on my list though) but I've heard a lot about it. I wish I have read it already so I could place it properly in this list Well, that's just me. I hope this list helps for a mini pilgrim progress ------------------ Love and Light to aLL My numerology program according to "Star Signs" by LG. IP: Logged |

One day I was on the net and I came across, bout a year ago,a read about how time ago that there were only 10 astrological signs. It went on to say that leo and virgo were at one time one sign. The example of the sphinx w/ the womans head and lion's body was presented. Anyways it was about the 12 labors of Hercules. I'll try to find it again for y'all. I've been with a leo for 6 years! And what Linda said in love signs about the turning of the worm happens occasionaly, also we virgos must watch our criticisms. Which is something that we fight about canstantly. His ego needs stroked more than I'm willing! LOL

The writing is called Esoteric Astrology by Alice Bailey & Djwhal KhulThe 12 Labors of Hercules In Labor 6 interestingly there's a tid-bit about the elusive Vulcan, that Linda Spoke of and in the wonderful site that Carlo has available. At any rate in Labor 5 is the info about the sphinx. each labor is broken up into several pages "The field of the Labor" contains the above info. http://beaskund.helloyou.ws/netnews/bk/hercules/herc1030.html happy reading!
