I attend a metaphysical church and after meditation on a Sunday my minister said she saw lights shooting across the room. The meditation was about sending love and light to others. At the time I thought she was a little nutty or very evolved. Then, just last Sunday someone mentioned that at a workshop the facilitator prayed for their guides, ancestors and other to be with them, and guide them through the meditation. She said she could see small lights quickly dashing and zig-zagging around the facilitator. Her friend also saw them, but the facilitator did not. I've never experienced this and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this. IP: Logged |

Hi Kat. I am a member of a Spiritualist Church also. Yes, I`ve seem shimmering or glowing lights. Usually around the facilitator or medium guiding the meditation. I have also witnessed transfiguration when this occured. It is the spirit presence seen, felt and acknowledged.  juniperb  IP: Logged |

What is transfiguration? Spirit seen felt... Is there a personal change involved?? I actually attend a Unity church, but i am familiar with the Spiritualist church though my visits to Lilydale.IP: Logged |

Hi Kat!
Transfiguration is when the spirit entity builds over the mediums face or sometimes whole body. A spirit entity speaking thru a a 'voice trance medium' will sometimes transfigure over the medium to offer proof of it`s idenity and is doing the talking. Some transfiguration mediums will change rapidly from face to another , but will pause if someone in the room recognizes one of the faces and calls out out to the enity.  That is part of the change seen / felt. I have personally seen transfiguration only once and in a powerful way. The mediums father (I didn`t know who he was) was giving me messages thru visualizing. I asked for proof before I shared the message which made no sense. He transfigured over the medium so I could describe him. It was a profound message for her and lifted a great burden off her heart. A message that almost didn`t get shared except for the love of the spirit to offer the sincere proof. When this is occuring, a loving peaceful feeling is sensed. What you describes sounds unbelievably awsome. I hope I can experience it one day. I feel as if there is so much in the universe I've never experienced or understand. One part of me questions whether seeing a spirit's face over the medium is possible - if it's somehow faked by the medium, while another part of me thinks Wow! this is possible.I used to be very questioning about chakras and auras until I saw a 3D aura complete with crisp clear rays coming from someone's eyes and light appeared to be coming from his face like a jack-o-lantern. Now I hear about spirit lights, transfiguration; I'm awe struck.Let me ask you this - since you also seem to be a truth-seeker as I am -- Do you feel that after life we permanently move to another dimension or are we at some point reincarnated? Also is the other dimension only love and light-filled or is there an existance of a dual "negative" state(for lack of a better description since I do not believe in Hell). I'm asking this because I'm struggling with the concept that our higher consciousness is whole and perfect and on the earth plane we have our ego to content with. At times I'm slightly in touch with this higher self, but I don't think I have even begun to understand this consciousness I supposedly have. Are you following me? By the way Unity is a wonderful church that has helped me make tremendous positive changes in my life-- and yes SHE is a good way to describe her. thanks! IP: Logged |

Hi Kat, I apologize for leaving this hanging. In my case of transfiguration, there was no fakery. I spiritually ask and saw.
It was my one and only time. The man was determined to right a wrong with his daughter and persevered until he came thru clearly.
Fakery is common and one must be careful of who they`re meditating with in this manner. It`s the fakers that have hurt the reputable spiritualist.  It can be dangerous without experienced spitirtual mediums. Which I hope someday to be  . My personal belief is that the soul pass`s over and there`s different levels for it`s home ,depending on how spiritualy mature it was at it`s passing. As we are at a different point in our soul growth ie Mother Theresa vs Richard Nixon. Each level would be for all with the same state of maturity. I`ve heard different beliefs on how many levels there are, I don`t know. All I believe for certain is they exist. I believe there`s the lowest level, for the Hitlers, Jeffery Dahmers el at of this world. Up to the highest of perfection. I also believe that the lower level souls can`t go up to the next higher level without reincarnating & and gaining in spirit growth first.They are stuck there to mellow out so to speak, Altho, I believe those from a higher lever can and do come down to help & teach the lower level souls to make better choices as well as to heal & grow for their next lifetime.
To me hell is a physical existence and the lowest level perhaps could be termed that. It can`t be pleasant to go to that level with no love or positive energy and to know you wasted an entire lifetime.
I`m so happy you have a wonderful church. I feel is a spiritual need to worship with those likeminded. Group prayer is of the highest good and can move 
I know this is a rudinmentary explaination and clumbsy at that, for that I apologize. The four leggeds are rushing me to go out. I enjoy our conversation!

Yeah, that's one of the best theories I've heard Juniperb. Not to throw a spanner or anything, but do you believe there could be infinite levels? I personally haven't experienced any "otherwordly" phenomena, except I can see the Etheric glow ...and I will see Auras soon though  Dean. ------------------

Thanks Juniperb for your explanation. I've heard many, many ideas about the afterlife and it's always fascinating to hear different views. By the way, the night after I read your e-mail I caught myself playing a game that I do from time to time.(I had not realized I do this until your explanation of transfiguration.) I look in the mirror and soften my eyes like I'm looking at one of those optical puzzles and imagine other people's faces over mine. I tend to get really old men, Native Americans, Indians,ugly faces or someone totally unlike myself. I freaked myself out that night- I've always considered this a fun game, but I think I'll stop with it knowing there is possibly of this being a step of connectiong to other spirits. it's probably just a fun game that and nothing more, but I'll keep my eyes focused on my own face. Hi Kat, I find that interesting. When I first started meditating, I would get a parade of faces I`ve never seen before waltz by. At first I found it uncomfortable and would try to focus on a single face. I never could and my spiritual teacher said it was normal and simply let the parade go by without focus. As I increased the depth of my meditation ,this stopped. Interestingly enough, most of mine were American Indians, Crones and occassionally a scarey one too. Contact with spirit is a wonderful, rewarding communication. You sound like you have the higher probability of success. Yes, I've alwys believed infinity is the only answer. I don't like changing peoples beliefs, so don't think I'm doing that I just want to state something further...What if there are infinite dimensions on which life lives right? Then, when we die, we move to a higher (or lower) frequency/vibration/dimension. Hence as we grow spiritually, we may become more intune with higher beings/ghosts/phenomena. Likewise, insane/evil people could be subjected to images of lower dimensions. I actually wrote a book on this type of thing, but it doesn't go into too much detail. Reincarnation from animals, communication between animals, animals themselves could all be considered as living on different planes - they teach us as we them... Linda once stated the mystery of the term God = dog backwards. Considering God derived from words such as Aowah, Allah, Jehovah, etc, where exactly did the spelling from God come from? Maybe it's from a hidden truth that everything is infinite, and hence God is on a similar wavelength as Dogs and us by extension? Just dog food for thought Dean. ------------------

You mentioned that you increased the depth of your meditation. Do you have any special techniques, or books you can recommend? I've been looking for ways to improve meditation because I feel that it is key not only improve intuitive abilities, but improving life in general.IP: Logged |
