A few months ago I bought a new bed and it is fantastic but once I am in and going to sleep it feels like the earth is moving and something like a cat walking across my bed. Now I did change rooms with my daughter and I never noticed anything just a really good sleep. The last bed I had there was that feeling of a cat walking over it and I accepted that as it felt like a cat and I love cats but this new feeling is freaking me out a little. I am not sleeping well and wake up frequently, is there anything I can do or say to either accept it or make it go away. Actually I feel it on one of my couches as well (just remembered). Any suggestions would be greatfully received. I presume some of you have vivid imaginations when you first started to read this, so SORRY to disappoint you!!! Or maybe it is mine, sigh! Hi Yousay. Was the bed actually brand new when you bought it? I have been given beds or matresses in the past that belonged to someone else and have found that some strange vibrations hang around. Dream time is pretty powerful. Once I got a bed from an older couple. It was a queen size and they needed to change to two smaller beds because the husband had developed serious heart problems and had to have some equipment near his bed. Anyway, the first night I slept on it, I started dreaming that my husband was having a heart attack. It was very disturbing because I woke up every night for a week with that dream. I asked the wife and she said she dreamed about that all the time since her husband got sick, so I guess the vibes just kind of hung around. Finally I performed a ritual to clear the old spirits and vibrations from the bed and everything was fine. (That was several years ago and my husband never did develope any kind of heart trouble or any other trouble, so it wasn't really connected to his health at all.) That sort of thing has happened to me a couple of times with beds that others have slept in. If your bed is new, maybe there was a cat in the wearhouse where it was stored. Or, since you have had the same kind of feelings before, maybe there is some connection with the room you sleep in and cats. Do you have the same sort of dream each time it happens? IP: Logged |

I bought the bed and couches new. The old bed I had was second-hand and the guy I got it off had a cat that died so I presume that was his cat, it would stay down by my feet. As soon as I turn off the lamp and get comfy those sensations start, last night I asked if it wouldn't happen and it didn't although I had another rough nights sleep. I will move the bed today and see if it is electricity problems. Thanks FishKitten YousayIP: Logged |

My bed rocks like that all the time!!!! At first I thought they were tremors (live in Los Angeles) but I'll check the websites with recent tremors and there's never anything.

Weird.I've had the same experiences as Wych lately (past two years) - thinking I'm feeling small earthquakes at night. I've lived in a few quake-prone areas and HAVE been wakened by them, and it feels like the exact same tremors, but now I'm NOT in a quake zone, so I wonder what this is all about. They're very palpable. I thought I was the only one - thanks, Wych, I fell better now! Yousay, I've also had dreams of being walked on - by a BIG cat. It's bizarre to feel something so physical when you swear you're awake and not dreaming - visions are one thing, pressure is another. Mine's shown up quite a few times so I've sort of made peace with it and figured perhaps its a totem/protector. Do you have a connection to cats/lions/tigers in a totem sense? I also agree with FishKitten that people leave strange psychic baggage behind. I had a perfectly normal friend when i was younger - whenever she stayed at my house we would sleep in the same bed and I'd repeatedly wake up screaming or with a strangled scream in my throat - only with this one person. Freaked me out. Or maybe our brains just all misfire in a similar fashion after reading too much Linda! If all else fails try leaving a bowl of milk by the bed :-) ------------------ namaste, xelena IP: Logged |
