Hi guys.Yesterday I decided to pray everynight and not when I feel like. I don't go to church(that's a whole different subject) but I consider myself to been a Christian therefore I pray everynight now. My pray is a simple one I made up myself. Some people i know consider themselves Christian but they don;t attend church, don;t read the Bible, don;t pray.To me that is not a true Christian. Thank you Moondreamer IP: Logged |

Since this is your mission, worry about yourself being a true Christian, because you cannot truly judge what is the heart of another man and if they are a true Christian or not, it really shouldn't be your concern. I admire your determination to pray. They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions, so it's important to follow thru with these gung ho attitudes. You can do it!

Don't be too hard on yourself! If you have a hard time making a habit of it, you could like try to thank the Lord for food everytime you eat, and that will help you have stayed on point with some communitcation with your higher power. Hey we're all human and as long as we do our best, that rocks..
and hugs!!

I've begun to pray much more lately but I've been praying a bit differently. "Ask and you shall receive", well that is true, and so first I ask for what I need and then following the prayer I thank God, for what i've just asked for. It works , I know it sounds a bit silly but if your promised that you 'll get what you ask for, then all that is left is a question of faith. Ok well I don't know if i'm wording this right so let me give share this excerpt from the book "Conversations with God": "You will not have thatfor which you ask, nor can you have anything you want. This is because your very request is a statement of lack, and your saying you want a thing only works to produce thatprecise experience-wanting- in your reality. The correct prayer is therefore never a prayer of supplication, but a prayer of gratitude. When you thank God in advance for that which you choose to experience in your reality , you in effect acknowledge thatit is there... in effect. Thankfullness is thus the most powerful statement to God; an affirmation that even before you ask, I have answered. Therefore never supplicate. Appreciate." -Conversations with God-I am not trying in anyway to preach about how to pray . I'm just trying to share with everyone something that has worked for me and changed my life. Plus I reccommend this book to anyone who would like to change their lives for the better. -peace to all- Jupiter-
