Just as I'm drifting off I get this 'wave'. I don't really know how to describe it. But it was like waking up in a wave. Very odd. So I'm awake. I don't think anything of it but I go to check on Hunter and then get back in bed. Can't sleep. Turn up the airfilter because I like the noise. End up checking on Hunter again because he's tossing and turning a bit and the nightlight in his room is motioncensor so I see it when it comes on and know he's moving about in his bed.

So I get in bed again and finally his light goes out. Then.. *wigglewiggle* the bed moves. I think it's Vin moving for a second but then *thunk thunk thunk* the bed feels like it's being KICKED or pushed. Thought in my mind "**** not again!" I hope it's just a little earthquake but... I start get goosebumps all over in waves. They won't go away and it's not from being cold. I have them NOW as I'm typing. It wasnt an earthquake. I even checked the earthquake webpage just now. I was laying in bed on my back and I could feel like this.. electricity vibrating through the bed. That's the only way I can describe it.

I tried to picture a protective circle around the whole house like I've been doing EVERY night. The goosebump waves got stronger. Now I've experienced this before but I've usually been half asleep.. never to this extent or while I was so alert.

So... yeah forget ******* sleeping tonight. I had to come down here and get on the computer. I really have NO DESIRE for any of these ghostly/otherwordly/weird/odd/spirit/whatever encounters anymore. Please let me just live a normal life for a while.

And if I'm crazy PLEASE give me some drugs and just zone me out. *cries*

I finally was brave enough to turn the light on and NOTHING was in the room with me...and the slat had not fallen out of the bed...then I wondered if we had an earthquake but nope...

1. I use golden, rich, Christ white light when I encircle our house. I use the word "Christ" because I imagine the Light he would send, beautiful and golden, rich with hues, not plain white like paper. Could you add some light in your protective circle?

2. I think you are a Sensitive and therefore picking up on energies.

3. We have felt "bumps" on the bed and no one was there, however, we believe it is the dogs that we recently lost, visiting (in Spirit). One dog used to intentionally bump your bed to get your attention.

4. I would affirm not to let these energies bother you; and affirm that you are going to get a good night's sleep.

Thank you so much for your input. I find it really interesting that Ra and Bernsie experienced something similar in the span of a couple days. I wonder what that's about?

Spirits usually (but not always) choose the night time to do their visiting and business because that's when the mortal world is fast asleep. I admit that I've had some unusual incidents occur also but am growing accustomed to it. One particularly frightening incident was when I was awakened by a loud banging on the front door. The sound of the knock wasn't natural sounding, I was a little scared and peeked out the window but there was no one standing there this was around 2AM.

RE:WychOfAvalon: There are a countless number of people around the world who have experienced a spiritual phenomenon wether they admit it or not (^_-). Whenever I feel an uneasy presence around I usually pray and light an incense stick this helps to purify the enironment.

Strangely enough last night I had something similar happen as when I originally posted. The main difference is that there was none of the fear of the last time and no one kicking the bed! Last night I woke and it was the same sort of 'electrical current' going through the bed. It wasn't as intense as the first time when I felt it actually go through ME but it was like the bed was vibrating from it. It's sort of hard to describe.

Sometimes when this has happened in the past I wonder if I'm feeling vibrations from the earth but it usually tends to be accompanied by some sort of other activity. Like a moving shadow over the bed, bed kicking, a few thumps in the corner of the room, etc. But occasionally it's just the slightly vibrating bed and it's then I wonder if I'm picking up something from underground... as strange as that sounds.

I live in Southern California, afterall. I always check the earthquake shake pages in the mornings, though, and they show the weakest of trembles and there's never anything around me that I should have felt at all!
