If you believe in reincarnation, couldn't this be a scenario on how you grow spiritually? Everytime you "pass away" from this Earth, you go to hell(I know that sounds bad but listen)and you stay there and prepare yourself for the return to Earth. This carries on life after life.Until you have fulfilled your destiny(or purpose) on Earth and than afterwards, you go to Heaven? What do you guys say?IP: Logged |

I believe that there is no hell but that which we create for ourselves.IP: Logged |

I think this is an interesting theory. I, personally don't believe in the Christian version of Hell. I agree with what Paras on that note. Although, that is not inconsistant with what you are saying here. It could be that we go to that place in which we create for ourselves for a *lay-over* between carnations. I like to stay open to change in my personal beliefs. I really like the ideas James Redfield presents about hell in one of his books (either Celestine Prophecy, The Tenth Insight, or Secret of Shambala) not sure which book it came from. It's been a very long time since I read the books. They all seem to have run together in my mind. IP: Logged |

LibraSparkle, your reply has reminded me of something I had not thought of in a long time. One of my close friends began having some rather unusual experiences after a hypnosis experiment in which I (naively and foolishly) tried to awaken any dormant psychic abilities in him. Sometimes he would "black out" for a bit, and come back with stories of interesting inner experiences. After a while he learned to control this "coming and going", and after one of these episodes, he told me that he had "seen" one of my ex-girlfriends, who had recently passed away. He said that she was in a dark place, alone, and that she was there because in life she had believed that "nothing happens" after death. IP: Logged |

I agree with paras about that hell is which we make for our own. but I think what happens after death is pretty much like linda says die the body but the soul continous to go on challagen. and when time is NOT exsite.no past ,no future ,only now.IP: Logged |

I like to believe in reincarnation but then again I dont want to.Very contradictory when it comes to that.Paras-you mentioned something which sparked a memory when you mentioned your friend didn't beieve anything happens after death. Last year, I had a discusion with a friend(who is an Athiest)about death. He said that wherever you go after death,it is only a state of mind on where you go i.e. Heaven is only in your mind. Well, that's a place, so it's not exactly nothing, is it? I think it's likely your friend projected his feelings about 'nothing' on to your other friend's death, rather than this being a peek into her spirit life. And even if it is, she'll find her way out. IP: Logged |
