I'm helping someone name a product. One of the possible names, includes a number. No decision whether the numeral will appear, or the spelling. In any event, when doing the numerology, which would one use? The value of say, the number 7, or the value of the spelled word 'seven?' Thanks for any insight... IP: Logged |

It's a problem for me too. If the spelling is used, I'd definitely use that, but numbers could be considered in the word or seperately, or indeed omitted - or maybe considered independently. For example, King Richard the third, the 3rd, III (three i's), etc. could all be used so I don't know. My program was modified a while back to include numbers, but they are added alongside the letters in a word - not seperately. This is because I believe numbers should be correlated with letters as they are one and the same in many ways, but I don't know what Linda believed...------------------ Imagination is more important than memory! Thanks for that, glad I wasn't the only one confounded by it. IP: Logged |

Oh, I was thinking...if you use Richard III, those aren't really i's. They're Roman Numerals representing the number 3. They're only i's on our keyboards. IX is the number 9, not really an i and an x. My Cappy moon must have made me post this. IP: Logged |

Yes, but they may also be spelt with lower case i's. Likewise MCMXLVII are all letters I think we could use instead of the number. In the case above, i=1 so iii=3 anyway, but other roman numerals won't work. I think the rule of thumb is that every letter equals a number. seven = 6. therefore seven7 = 13. seven 7 = 13, but each should be reduced first. etc. I'd just try all combinations and see how they relate.Have fun!
