Hi everyone,
Are there any other double eights out there?
My name and birth numbers both reduce to an eight.
Everything Linda says about 17 and 8 in Star Signs rings true to me and my life.
When I first read her book I was about 17 years old (now im 26 - aghh that equals 8 too!)and got a little worried when I figured out I was a double 8! Should I change my name? I decided not to for numerous reasons.
Instead, like she says in Star signs I decided to "carry out the full force and meaning of the 8 influence, not fearing the concequences because they feel that forewarned they can handle the negative aspect of the 8-and they wish to increase the power of wealth, stability, and responsibility that the 8 influence brings...they will lead curiously fatalistic lives, seeming to be "stamped by fate" on whatever path of live they chose."
My life hasn't been easy (who's really has?) My wealth has also definitly not increased.
But spiritually I feel I'm a billionare! Life has given me some hard blows - but after awhile you start to realize this is what makes you a stronger, deeper and richer soul. And you begin to appreciate the lessons the universe is throwing your way. I wouldn't have it any other way.
After reading her book years ago I realized I was a 4 and 8 magnet. I was surrounded by other 4 and 8 people, telephone numbers equaled 8, apartment numbers.

Another interesting (sad) note. One of my best friends from high school (born on the 26th) died from a heroin overdose on my birthday (17th). (he was 26) We had grown apart over the years. But we had such an amazing connection. Back in 95-96 both of us constantly saw the number 22 everywhere!
We weren't sure what it meant but it popped up every where. We had all these weird inside jokes - everytime we saw each other we'd say "22" in this funny voice. He was so funny - I miss him.
I later found out that 11 and 22 are master numbers. But I'm still not quite sure of the significance of seeing them all the time is.

I'd love to hear anyone elses thoughts on any of this.

Peace and Light!

You aren't the first to experience the 22/11 phenomenon. In fact, I know a certain guy whose entire birth certificate is riddled with 11's and 22's including several double L's (LindaLand anyone?) which happen to look JUST like the number 11 (or is it ll?) A 22 appears in a very prominent place on that same birth certificate.

A very good friend of mine from another writing site has a recurrent 22 theme in her life as well. She claims it's related to her late grandmother who was a 22 as well.

You might want to read a post called "The Awakener" in Oranges and Hyacinths if you haven't already done so. 11+11 = (ominous voice here) 22. Finally, it seems important to mention this, although I'm not really sure what the significnace of the information is:

I have felt a distinct difference in polarity between the numbers 11 and 22. I don't know what it is and I don't know why. But I feel as if 22 is the negative side...

It's just a feeling though...

Love,

daf

Hey Daf,
Thanks for your insight!
Interesting that for some reason you see 22 as the negative side....
Maybe your right. I just picked up my star signs book to look into it.
It says "It is a warning number of illusion and delusion. It indicates a good person (or entity) who lives in a fools paradise, a dreamer of dreams, who awakens only when surrounded by danger, when its often too late."
Wow, it makes me think of my friend and his drug problem.
I know I've read this before, but now it seems to make sense. Funny, 22 doesn't pop up to me like it used to - maybe thats a good thing.
I'm going to find The Awakener now.

Thanks so much for your reply Daf!

I`m a 22 (/2) as well. it`s like a double edged sword. It`s a tough path and if one succumbs, it will be negative.

One must face the number and strive for all the positive aspects. When you do, you`ve overcome some of that greatest challenges and you`ve found the positive that allows you to never have to repeat it again.

Lindas #22 from Star Signs:

quote:
22
Submission--and Caution
22 is symbolized by the ancients as "a Good Man, blinded by the folly of others, with a knapsack on his back, full of errors." In the image he seems to offer no defense against a ferocious tiger which is about to attack him. It's a warning number of illusion and delusions. It indicates a good person (or entity) who lives in a fool's paradise; a dreamer of dreams who awakens only when surrounded by danger, when it's often too late. It warns of mistakes in judgement, of placing faith in those who are not trustworthy. If 22 is the birth number, the person it represents should exercise caution and watchfulness (since the birth number cannot be altered) in both career and personal matters. The karmic obligation here is to be more alert, to curb "spiritual laziness," and develop more spiritual aggressiveness--to realize your own power to change things, to prevent failure by simply ordaining success. When this personal responsibility is recognized, practiced, and finally mastered, the 22 person can be in control of events, no longer blinded by the folly of others, and will see ideas achieved and dreams realized. Anyone born on the 22nd day of any month needs to carefully read the section about the numbers 4 and 8, beginning on Page 211.

I see it as a test of spiritual evolvement . My onion anyhow

*sigh* I'm a name number 29. No fun . Recent marriage made me a 17 which is marginally better but my husband is also a name number 17 so that's two 8's in the same household. Things a getting stranger by the day around here.

Hi guys, (er, girls )

I just read about Pidaua's dream in Astral Realms. In the dream, the date 11/22 was significant.

It popped into my head that, 11 = 2, 22 = 4.

*2*00*4* Maybe this date will be significant to us all in some way. 11/22/2004

I know your not supposed to reduce the numbers 11 and 22. But I find it interesting.

Now I'm looking forward to something important on that day. We'll see.

Juniperb,
I'm glad to hear you use the power of number 22 to spiritually evlove, and rise above the negative aspects of it. We all have free will. And I love it when people take a situation and chose the positive road. The choice is ours!

Take care all!

Hi again all

When we have a master number and IF we meet the challenges, is there any rule to forbid

the Masters from reducing it and gaining the individual a whole new future built by having Worked on and meeting our challenges

For instance, my 22 could become a 4, Fate and Destiny Or a 11 a 2 ....

Isn`t that a wonderful thought that may have been hidden in Twelfth Night Secrets ?

Hey! I remember this thread!

Very good questions Juni. I'm not quite sure but it sounds reasonable to me. Anyone have anymore insight?

And I find it funny that this old thread of mine was bumped up. In it, I mentioned that the date 11/22/2004 might be important and I forgot all about that!! Have to wait and see. As they say, 'there are no such things as coincidences'. Thanks juniperb.

Hey 26, There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of that thread! I guess because of the elections and some sort of deep horror I fell regarding that date, even though the elections take place Nov. 2nd.
(2 being a single # reflected in a mirror, I've discounted the other 2.) I feel something will happen on the 2nd. Perhaps I will ponder that and see what I come up with.
Miss you 26!

Hi,

How do you find out which numbers you are? I didn't know there was so much to numerology. The life path number is taken by adding your digits of DOB, and reducing until you get one number right? All I know is that by doing so, my numebr is an 8. ANy links or book ideas?

Yes! My program below is a java applet to help calculate your numbers. There is also a link to the values above, but you have to know the rules for calculating everything. The system used by Linda is the Chaldean numerology, and as such, there is no life number or path number etc. Only 3/4 numbers representing your personality and karma. Two for the name, and one or two for the date. Let me know if you need anything else, or have problems with my program.

Heaps of Love,
Dean.

Hi Seasame,

I went to the link, and it showed the first page. When I clicked on the file, it said "Not authorized to view"?

I was born on August 17th at 8:17 in the morning. Hows that for 17/8 combinations? However my birth number when added all together is #7. If I was born in 1981 instead of 1980...lol. My name comes out to 8 also.

Hi Deira,

Which file was that? Is this from your work? Some work places block java. You also may not have access to install java. I've never actually seen your error thgough, but I think it's along these lines - or maybe your firewall. If it's saying it to the zip file, then I'd guess you're blocking java somehow.

Best of Luck,
Dean.

I am a double 8. Well, even more than that. I was born on May 8th. My full first and last names add to 44=26=8. My nickname adds to 17=8. My middle name with my last name (which I use sometimes) is 26=8. My last address number was 17. My full first, middle and last name add to 11.

I sometimes feel like I'm not living my life, but my life is living me. Odd circumstances, weird happenings, directions I never would have dreamed of, good and bad.

I also often feel like I've been "rescued" or saved from death numerous times, because some things are just so hard to believe I escaped. I feel like I'm heading toward a goal, but I don't know what it is. A bit unsettling. Oh well. I chose it, right? I must know more than I know.

I'm sorry about your friend 26Taurus
My birth number is 8 (8-8-80) and it seems as if I connect very well with other 4s and 8s only for them to hurt me in the long run.
I tend to try to avoid them.

Hmm, does the java message appear when you run the page? What version of Java? I think the program needs 1.4.2 (Java 2) or higher. The box usually means its not installed properly. Did you try the java link? The "Get it now" link should download automatically. Let me know how you go.
