What do you think of her? Did anyone have a reading done by her?

Just curious. She looks like the real thing on Montel but you never know.

I Sure can`t afford a reading by her

But I love her and her earthyness and have all her books. She is the first one to tell you to go within to find your answers and save your on hiring a psychic

I enjoy listening to her...even tho sometimes when she gets something wrong she does a kind of strange thing like, "Oh well, someone connected with you at soem point was named George" or whatever...and she says that everyone on the other side is 30 years old doesn't she? Even if a baby died..it is now 30 on the other side..why 30, I wonder?

If I could ask Sylvia/Francine one question, that would be it.

Sylvia Addresses this in her books. She says ( as she changed the name of her spirit guide when she was a young child... to francine... her name was actually..Iena or something like that (it's in the other room, I am too tired to look)
She says to call your spirit guide by whatever name tickles your fancy.. the message gets through either way. No harm, no foul, no offense.... just anything to stay in contact. Meditate on names, or ask her/him before you sleep at night, as you pray/speak with the higher power and surround yourself with white light. Ask that you be shown their name. When you wake, hopefully you will know.

Betty Bethards, a mystic-author-psychic, whom I used to go to her lectures and I have many of her books, also says that most souls choose the age of 30-ish on the other side. She said you can choose any age you want, and most choose 30 because that is the "perfect age", you are mature, yet still young.

June of last year, I had a dream about an angel/guide named Grace, giving me a message that made me feel better about something. It was one of those dreams where you just know that it wasn't quite a dream. I'm going to try asking for names tonight, see if I can catch the name of anybody else.

I've never been aware of having one. Does everyone have one? Do we share?

Yes sweet Tink, everyone

When you meditate, ask for the presence of your guide to be with you and ask for a sign (think of the sign before you meditate tho). When you feel, hear or see s/he,then you can ask names or any thing else you would like. They love to k-now you sense, hear or feel them. They are eager to interact and guide you

Do we share? I don`t believe so but our guides do interact with other guides. For instance, my guide can work with your guide to help us in a spiritual endeavor.

i know alot of people might like sylvia brown here, but i just felt compelled to tell you about my friends experience. well, sylvia was promoting a trip to egypt where she would be in attendence with all who signed up. it was five star hotels and everything - a package deal. my friend signed up. this was 3 years ago. the trip got postponed again and again. my friend even called sylvia for a reading (consequently blowing a few more hundred dollars) and asked what was up with the trip. sylvia said it was still on and not to worry. she also told her a bunch of stuff that doesn't make sense. like my friend should work with children for a living, and trust me, she hates kids.

anyways, slyvia ended up backing out of the trip, but the price was never dropped. it was postponed again and again. my friend sued - she lost. then, just this month, the trip was finally supposed to get going - my friend was actually excited even though sylvia wasn't going to be there and she had been put through a bunch of crap. she called the company to get her tickets fed exed two days before departure time. she got an answering machine saying "due to internal affairs, the trip to egypt has been cancelled" they never answered and will still not answer the phone. she is out a couple grand. she hates sylvia now and thinks she's a fraud.
like i said, some of you guys might like her here, but be very, very careful about getting involved in anything finacial and her. better forwarned!

Grrr, I'm so frustrated. I was just reading through this thread when I came across the 30 year thing. My mind sparked on something I had once heard Eddie Vedder say ... it was something about him spending time in ... Tibet, if I recall correctly, somewhere in Asia I'm almost positive. Anyhoo, he was saying that he had asked one of the monks/spiritual men that he was talking to about reincarnation ... he asked him how long it took for a person to reincarnate, you know, the time in-between lives. He said he was expecting something like, oh it varies with each person or something like that but instead the monk/spiritual guy (I think Buddhist) said "30 years". Eddie was like, "What? You mean, 30 years for everyone regardless?" and the guy was just like, "Yes, 30 years for everyone."

I always wondered about that. The closest I can come to is numerlogically 30, the Loner, Meditation ... which would make sense as an in-between life influence if you believe in the idea, theosophical I believe, of devachan. Anyway, I have a hunch that it may also relate to the whole Saturn-Seven-Cycle ...

Ok, just a random thought that flashed across my mind while reading this ... wish I could find where I read/heard what Eddie said exactly and by whom.

Hi Eleanor,

Good reading.

I am thinking 3 * 10 (the number of God) = 30

Now whose number is 3?

What does it represent?

Thirty years to whom?
Because in Heaven's time, or whatever you want to call it, isn't time meaningless?
Guru or not, the idea of a set time doesn't sit well with my internal censor. ( Yes, I DO have some of those, I just choose not to use them... )

I know, pixelpixie, that's exactly what I felt when I heard it. Like, huh? 30 years? You're joking, right? But then I thought about the whole relativity of Time ... and Time being an illusion aside from NOW so ... maybe on the "other side" it's as long or as short as it IS while here, in this illusory Earth Time, it's always 30 years. Weird. I know. I'm not saying I believe it but maybe 30 is just a number relative to where we as humans are right now in general. After all, we do all conform to "average" ages for things, including an "average lifespan", and that to me seems just as crazy as the idea of a 30 year death interval.
<shaking head>
Crazy.

If you look at it 30 years is not a long time. Poor soul, they only get to enjoy much short time on the other side.
On the other side, I am guessing the bliss is akin to stream joining a river.

Doesn't last long if we have lot of debt to pay back on earth.

I was also wondering about buddhists belief that it is possible sometimes that a spirit, can get in to multiple bodies.
So if you know a foreign langugage, that same skill is in someother body. Or if you had talent to paint, the second person gets that talent.

Is it really that? Are we really like drops of water of that one great ocean and there is no I. But its all That. And That is God.
