We have had a rough time, my true love and I. Our middle child, a daughter named Iris, was stillborn due to a severe heart defect. Our youngest, Jasper, was born 14 months ago on July 17th (so yes another 8 in our house)and developed a serious heart condition called cardiomyopathy (that's weak/damaged heart muscle and was probably caused by a viral infection). Most kids with full blown cardiomyopathy need a heart transplant or die before the age of 5. He is doing very well so far though.

Anyway, back to the present. I had never done the kids' name numbers before they were born. Last Sat. I had the most vivid dream - Linda, looking like she does on the jacket of Star Signs, woke me up by shaking my shoulders roughly and said "Your baby's name isn't good for him! You need to change his name and right now." I woke up in a sheer state of panic which lead to me getting up and digging through a stack of books in our basement at 4 am looking for Star Signs. Jasper's name equals 8 too. (My little girl, btw, was born on the 22nd and her name equaled 4 too!)

FINALLY, my point, thanks for bearing with me. I have tried all sorts of changes to his name ...giving him a nickname, changing his name to something similar sounding, using his middle name ... none of these are good at all. Plus, changing his first name completely would hurt my ILs so much since it's an ancestral name. However, if we add my maiden name hyphenated to their father's name to both kids names, as I do for myself already, my oldest improves from 14 to 21 and Jasper becomes a 15. My husband's name also is a 15 and he ain't changing it so we've already got this influence in the house.

Does anyone know more about this negative occult influence that 15 can exert on 8s? Any examples that you know? Do you believe it's truly worth avoiding? I want the assurance that I have done everything I could for my son and, especially, after that dream, I feel like I *need* to make a change somehow. Sorry if this is a pointless question ... jut wondering if there's any insight out there. This is a terrific website and honors Linda beautifully. Thanks.

Here is part of what Linda says about 15 in Star Signs:

That is why I was wondering how strong this influence might be.

You have a numerology program? Neat-o! That must be it in your signature. Oh, and yes, with hyphenated names you do add up each name separately, I believe.
