Long time ago I had a dream of two similar looking beings or boys or I don't know.

They didn't have wings. But didn't seem from this planet, well to some extent yes. They were short and slim. They were very beautiful and kept quiet all the time. I remember I was standing 1000 ft high.

I was wondering about the dream and came to know yesterday that cherubims are higher than angels in the ladder of beings and they are small too.

Does anyone have a picture of a Cherubim?

May be mine was some strange neptune dream,
but would like to explore, in the wake of my knowledge yesterday.

Regards,

I assume you mean Cherubim? Cherubim is plural - Cherub is singular. These are mythical creatures that we know from Hebrew mythology and iconography, and were drawn from various earlier Mesopotamian myths. Originally these were depicted as majestic, guardian-type creatures of the heavens, usually possessing a combination of freatures that resembled parts of powerful animals known to that part of the world at that time: eagle's wings and bill, lion's claws, bulls' hindquarters, and so forth. It varied from community to community. They weren't originally depicted as what we think of as "cherubs" (a medieval Eurpoean invention), nor as humanlike, and were often much more awe-inspiring (they were, afterall, closer to YHWH than us). They weren't as scary as Seraphims, which were more like heavenly "fire beings" ("seraph" in Herbrew means "fire"), but quite imposing nonetheless. In both Jewish and Christian myth, Cherubim and Seraphim became almost indistinguishable, but are thought that originally they were beleived to possess different powers and serves YHWH in different ways.

The ancient peoples had a very different view of angelic beings - they saw anglic beings as frighteningly powerful, uncomprehensively wise, and so holy that they were dangerous for a mortal to be near. Very different from our modern "fluffy" take on angels. I suspect, that in their world where the ancients had fewer spiritual distractions, they probably knew a thing or two about angelic beings that we might wish to ignore. Think about that for a while, and then reassess your dream, what you think it means and what you want it to means.
