Hello everyone, I trust you are well.

Well, I was married on the above date (6,9,6) on a Friday, which is my best day. This interlude is necessary to validate my posting this link in this forum:

http://www.megspace.com/science/porsche911/galleries.htm

This link will take you (finally) to my galleries which I have just posted. The galleries include a trip to Egypt, and scanned pics from my wedding. I hope you enjoy them as much I am in sharing.

Heaps of Love,
Dean.

BTW Juni, our wedding song was changed to "Throw your arms around me" by Hunters and Collectors. These guys are Australian, but this song was also sung by Pearl Jam both when I saw them live the first time and on a DVD, so it was very fitting.

The wedding had dolphins and whales, though we couldn't get the whales on film. It almost thunderstormed but held off until the reception. The DJ played many cool songs and everyone seemed very happy. People apparantly loved the speeched which I was surprised about. I talked of how I almost proposed on top of Mount Moses in Egypt, but waited until Ozzie soil where it seemed more appropriate. It was also a very long treck up the mountain (about three hours bus, and three hours hiking both ways).

Anyhow, I just had to add that for closure.

Thanks,
Dean.

Deano, I do not know the song but I sense it made the day perfect

I "see" the whales and dolphins in your reflections

Hey Dean,

great photos....especially love the ones on the beautiful aussie beach

Great song too, I've actually seen Hunters and Collectors in concert and they sang that song. For everybody else, here are the lyrics:

Throw Your Arms Around Me

I will come for you at nighttime
I will raise you from your sleep
I will kiss you in four places
As I go running along your street
I will squeeze the life out of you
You will make me laugh and make me cry
And we will never forget it
You will make me call your name
And I'll shout it to the blue summer sky

And we may never meet again
So shed your skin and let's get started
And you will throw your arms around me
Yeah, you will throw your arms around me

I dreamed of you at nighttime
And I watched you in your sleep
I met you in high places
I touched your head and touched your feet
So if you disappear out of view
You know I will never say goodbye
And though I try to forget it
You will make me call your name
And I'll shout it to the blue summer sky...

And we may never meet again...
So shed your skin and let's get started
And you will throw your arms around me
Yeah, you will throw your arms around me
Oh...yeah...
Ohhh yeah...
You will throw your arms around me...
Yeah, you will throw your arms around me....

Thank you guys. Reading the words brought tears to my eyes purple_scorp. It sure is a beautiful song. The DVD I mentioned called "Live at the Garden" has the lead singer of H&C singing with Eddie on the day they met. I think Eddie loved that song for years. When I first saw him sing it, he said "I'm not sure if you think this song is corny, but I'm gonna play it anyway". It lifted the roof off the house. Sal still thinks H&C sing it better, as do I really. The lead singer really has a substance to his voice, hey?

Heaps of Love,
Dean.

Hi Dean,

I really enjoyed the gallery. I envy you. You stood where Alexander the Great stood admiring the tall pyramids, and swearing he would make one of these structure for his Dad. He could not complete it as he died earlier.

Also the wedding pics were cool. My sincerest blessings to both you and Sal and may you walk this journey of life together side-by-side sharing, caring, and lovingly.

PEACE

Congratulations and blessings

That is one of my favourite songs, probably because I identify it with Australia. Great choice, it looks like it was a really beautiful day for you both.

Thanks! The song was going to be:

One by U2
then "Never tear us apart" (by U2)
We were also thinking Elton John's "The One" but it didn't seem appropriate.
Our last choice was "Happy Together" by the turtles, which was what my note to Juni was about. But the DJ didn't have it. So then I thought "Throw your Arms" and it was perfect

Dean.

We really wanted to play something by Pearl Jam at some point, but it never fit. We were going to make readings with different quotes, but that seemed wrong. Then we thought "Love Boat Captain" for the signing, but it's inappropriate. We had the canon for the wedding party and signing. I really wanted the Canon in panpipes for the signing, and violin for the march, but I couldn't find it. Oh well. Everything was good.

Dean.

Yes. Mark Seymour is his name and like many aussie lead singers from that era (Peter Garrett, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, James Reyne - just to name a few) his voice is definitely distinctive and easily recognisable.
