Having that aqu. ascendent I do sometimes get flashes of insight and flashes of knowing. This morning I had an insight and I realized this: I have been on a spiritual quest for years and years and years. I've read tons of books and listened to people talk and so on and so on... My journey doesn't feel so urgent any more. It all has led me back to me. Its how i conduct myself every day.Its how I learned self forgiveness and how I accepted responsibility for my own acitons. Its how I learned to be true to my self and say no to people with integrity not with anger and hostility. Its how i learned compassion for others and stopped the harsh judgements. Its how I learned the value of charity. Its how I learned to speak kindly to those I care about. I find this so very interesting that I spent so much time looking outside of myself for answers and yet the answers are so easy and were totally impossible for me to see on this journey. I have a ways to go yet but I sense that the rest of my journey is closer than I think. Some of you may not get this today but I am hoping that some day you will look back and go " yeah i remember that girl on linda-land said something like that"

Hi,

I am sure this realization didn't start only in this lifetime. But many many years before that

On this earth we will have to remember you, but out there we would know you.

Yes, indeed, thirteen.

It's not as complex as we make it out to be.
But yet, at the same time, the quest isn't meaningless...for all of the searching and grasping is what helps us realize this.

and they all
open from the side you're on.
Just keep on pushing hard, boy, try as you may,
you're gonna wind up where you started
from."

13,
I just wanted to say that you and I probably live about 20 miles from each other.

I spent my childhood in Rochester Hills, back when it was just called Rochester without the Hills
I went to Hamlin Elementary for grades 1-6.
Bloomer Park. Stoney Creek. Yates Cider Mill....ah, those were golden daze!
I graduated from Utica HS.

Small world, ay?

You know, this thread is really awesome concerning what you're talking about (or maybe variations?):

What do you think?

That was awe some...some awe, Dean. Thanks to you and SunChild for sharing it.

It would seem to fit into the Grand Design of our existance, wouldn't it? To Experience ourselves here through the physical, in our Nature-al forms...through our minds, our hearts, every flowing sensation of our bodies to connect with All.
We are here, living, on this Blue Orb with intricate and symmetrically perfect mechanisms of mind and body. Why? It seems this is a wondrous gift of experience and exploration, to be cherished and not wasted.
And as in All...surely, we should use All of ourselves. We focus soley on the mind...our heart is neglected and vice versa. As with the body as well.

In his writings he mentioned "Purpose".
I wonder others thoughts on this. Do you believe there is an ultimate purpose we should discover and attain?
Purpose is defined as : 'something set up as an object or an end to be attained.'

I suppose I find the word "purpose" unsettling for some reason when used in spirituality. For, is not the purpose ultimately the quest itself? And as such, is it not ever-expanding, ever-exploring, and ever-changing? With no end nor conclusion? No definition?

I found the words shared beautiful and divine, and so I don't mean to pick out a single word and critisize. This is just something I have wondered about myself for a while and seeing the word, just made me spiral onto that thought a bit.

Yes, to exist could be the purpose. Have you read Conversations with God? The purpose there is to continually re-create who you are with every thought, word, and action.

Life is about recreation. I actually told a friend recently I thought I was here to just kick back and relax. As we all are really, but sometimes we get involved in our material realm.
