The number 108 has lots of weird significances i've read in history/religion and believes and the science world. (Just as the number 137 does for the speed of light, electrons, quantum mechanics. This number always comes up in calculations.) I also read that 18 is supposed to have some sort of significance too...

(I read some info on these numbers here: http://www.orientalthane.com/sanskrit/news_nov_30.htm )

* Distance between earth and sun = 108 times sun-diameter

* Distance between earth and moon = 108 times moon-diameter

* Diameter of the sun = 108 times the earth diameter

To me, that's a bit too much of a coincidence... Unless we're making a huge mistake in the way we calculate things.

That's to Weird eh? Now check this out:

I looked this up and the Sun is shown to be off center from the Galactic center by about 18 kiloparsecs...
If you look into how Kiloparsecs work you can come down to see how their measurements work:

Definition of a Kiloparsec. An astronomical unit of length, equal to the distance at which the radius of the Earth's orbit subtends an angle of one arcsecond. The name is a contraction of "parallax-second." One parsec = 3.259 light-years, or 30.83 trillion
km (19.16 trillion miles). It is generally used by astronomers in preference to the light-year. 1,000 pc = 1 kiloparsec (kpc).

Definition of a Arc-second. An angular measurement. There are 60 arc-seconds in one arc-minute, 60 arc-minutes in one degree, and 360 degrees in a full circle. One thousandth of an arc-second = 1 milliarc-second.

NOTE THAT PIE NEVER ENDS, so you can never have a perfect circle.

here is what I just did for fun and check out the number I got:

108+108+108+18+18? = 360

Distance between earth and sun = 108 times sun-diameter + Distance between earth and moon = 108 times moon-diameter + Diameter of the sun = 108 times the earth diameter + Distance of Sun to Center of Galaxy (in Kiloparsecs) + 18? (Just a guess)

I wonder what the last 18 would be? It adds up to a full circle though.. lol

1+0+8+1+0+8+1+0+8+1+8+1+8 = 45

45 x 18 = 360

this probably means nothing but it's just strange to me...

There is also a lot of 9's going on here too.
It's a math thing. Check out page 176 in Star Signs. (paperback) It's a good thing, yes?

Thanks Randall!

Cool I will check out some books. It's just amazing what you can find when you start looking at the puzzle of everything and how it's all connected and all has a purpose. It's like a big chain of events all happening for a reason.

Welcome. And a excellent article. This thread and the link you posted answered some of the questions I had and threw light on how I must further explore.

India is really a mystical country. It has offered so much to Mankind. It is the Kali yuga which must pass away so that its light shines forth.
Same goes for the world.

Yes, Welcome! Another person around here wrote many correlations with numbers, but unfortunately, they've been deleted. I was going to bump them for you, but that's life. I love these types of correlations that don't use "human" measurements like miles, etc. I once read a book by Richard Feynman where he said Physics is the only science that can accurately describe everything. He's scenario was "if you were talking to an Alien over the phone, how would you describe what we looked like".

Well, he stated that if you can work out the width of a hydrogen atom, then you know distances and height and proportions to metres etc, but then he said "how do you know which side of the body the heart is on?" Well, apparantly a type of mineral that is abundant in our universe (I think Cobalt) when electrically charge move metal shavings in a certain way. When looking relative to the flow of electrons through the material, you can decipher which way is right, and hence find the heart on the lfet side of the body. Feynman truly was a cool scientist.

Oh, and he also loved 137 (there's the tie)
