I Am That I Am

I have, at last, reached MY goal,
And solved the secret of MY soul.
I am THAT, to whom I prayed,
THAT, to whom I looked for aid.
I am THAT, whom I did seek.
I am MY own mountain peak.

I, upon creation look,
As a page from MY own book.
For I am the ONE, the many make,
Of substance, which from ME I take.
For ALL is ME, there are not two,
Creation is MYSELF, all through.

What I grant, unto MYSELF,
I just take, from MYSELF.
And give it to ME, the only ONE,
For I am the Mother, Father, and the Son.

What I want, I do but see,
MY wishes flowing forth from ME.
For I am the knower, and the known,
Subject, ruler, and the throne.
The three in ONE, is what I am,
And hell itself is but a dam,
That I did put in MY own stream,
When in a nightmare, I did dream.

That I did dream;
That I was not the only ONE,
And thus by ME, was doubt begun,
Which ran its course, 'til I awoke,
And found that I, with ME, did joke.
So now, that I do stand awake,
MY throne, I do surely take,
And rule MY kingdom, which is ME,
The master, through eternity."

Translation from an ancient Egyptian text carved into a doorway, a sacred place.

Dear Heart and Soul,

That was super cool. I am going to print it and keep it handy I was actually inspired by a book called "Journey to Aloneness". Its an introduction to Indian philosophical books called Upanishads. The upanishads is an intricate collection of books with lots of deep philosophies. There are many authors even today, trying to explain those philosophies. I thought the book I chose was a good one and half-way reading it I went to LL. I chose the handle then.

I will post about the author sometime. I believe he is an Indian(East) settled in America(West) and is very learned.

Since LL has lot of Osho fans. I didn't realize until now that he also has a book titled 'I am That'

Just thought would let you know.

Dear 26T...
I didn't mean to say Osho is another author. There are still many so called gurus, who have heard Osho when he lived, and subsequently became enlightened. These many people have even started their own community/groups with thousands of followers. Remember Osho died 1990.

I am not even worth his sandals. I wanted to stress that if someone wants to read/study upanishads they need someone like Osho to really teach. If they don't have them then they need life.

Peace.

Thanks for sharing that Heart&Soul. I needed to see that poem. I'm going to keep it safe and write it down in my journal.

Heres the books detail:

Journey to Aloneness
Commentaries on the Kaivalya Upanishad
Dr M.N. Parthasarathi
isbn 81-7693-006-7
His email: manavasip@yahoo.com

He has extensively studied his contemporaries Osho and Krishnamurthy.

I guess I am ready for more after his beautiful introduction.

PEACE.

It really is an amazing writing isn't it?
Very powerful. Glad if it brought something to you, Merlinesque, NeoKitty & iAm.

Thanks for the book info, iAm. An inspiring introduction just might be the spark I would need to brave the challenge of the Upanishads. I'm not the most disciplined of readers...perhaps it's the Sag in me. I get easily distracted onto something else.
But it certainly seems you were greatly inspired by it...and your posts here Inspire me...so I'll take it as a good direction to go.

I have never read Osho until recently...after checking out 26Taurus' link to his Tarot. (thanks, 26 ).
Once again timing & synchronicity amazes me, for his writings have brought me much peace & centeredness...All cohesing inTo the perfect Time on my journey it seems.

Dear Heart and Soul,

I hear you. Its possible you may not like the book I got the book at a appropiate time in My journey. My journey had already begun much much longer before that.

Since the book is tough to get...I would post sentences from it time again if it would help

I actually paraphrase sentences that makes sense to me before I post. Hope nothing gets lost in translation. Thats what I fear most.

Peace

What exactly is the book about IAmThat?

Any book that will further shape my mind in the direction it's currently heading is of great interest to me.

I am posting the link from Amazon.
http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/exchange-glance/Y 03Y4600284Y4578921/ref=a_ob_xs_usr/ref=a_ob_xs_b/103-1131859-8849469

Warning: The cover page is not the books actual cover. The description is exact though.

I bought it from an Indian book store in India for $10.

Again I repeat, just as in the case of medicine or food (what is good for one may be poison for other). same with the book. One may see light in it depending on where they are. Some would be terribly bored

Also the guy is a layman like me and u and does not call himself guru. Hence I may have read it with open mind
