I'm sure you've all seen on the news the devistating Asian tsumani. The death toll is up to 23,000 and is still climbing. I'v never seen that many people go in my lifetime. I feel a great impact on what has just happened...I really do. Also, the Alpine islands opposite the Eastern coast of australia at risk for an earthquake. I live on the coast, my house is literally on the shore. And I imagined a tidal wave, 10 metres high washing away everything in its path. I feel it may happen here one day, my partner says we will move to a higher altitude, in the country. Has anyone done a chart of the day it happened? And also, any theories out there relating to predicted cataclysms like this? Sending my thoughts and prayers to those suffering. IP: Logged |

http://www.oxfam.org.uk/ http://www.livejournal.com/community/psychicworkshop/6961.html?view=20529&style=min e#t20529 Red Cross 1-800 HELP NOW www.unicef.org Doctors Without Borders 1-888-392-0392 If there is anything you can do to help these unfortunate people, it would be such a wonderful thing. Even if you cannot spare money or time, I would really appreciate if you could just pray for them. A Prayer in a Time of Disaster Almighty and everlasting God, You are strength to those who suffer and comfort to those who grieve. Let the prayers of your children who are in trouble rise to you.
Hear our prayer. We claim your promises of wholeness as we pray for those who who struggle or are suffering losses and long for your healing touch. Hear our prayer. Make the weak strong, the sick healthy, the broken whole, and confirm those who serve them as agents of your love. Hear our prayer. To everyone in distress, grant mercy, grant relief, grant refreshment. Hear our prayer. As we begin to rebuild, we commend our neighborhoods to your care. Give us strength of purpose and concern for others, that we may create a community where your will may be done. Hear our prayer. God of compassion, you watch our ways, And weave out of terrible happenings wonders of goodness and grace. Hear our prayer. Surround those who have been shaken by tragedy with a sense of your present love, And hold them in faith. Though they are lost in grief, may they find you and be comforted; Through your presence, they might find peace ... Amen. IP: Logged |

I read today that the death toll is up to 116,000. The news said that 500,000 are injured; 1 million are homeless and the numbers are still rising. Additional deaths can be expected due to water issues and disease. This is by far the worst disaster in I have heard about in my lifetime.Today I gave $75 dollars to the Red Cross and that small amount of money seems so insignificant compared to the great devistation that is occuring.Hopefully, I can do more. I understand that UPS is taking old electronic equiptment worth $75 or more and they will be sold on ebay - all money will go to disaster relief. Many of you here are students and with little money, but maybe we can think twice about that beer or fast food burger. I think every bit of help counts. Send prayers and keep them in your consciousness, but extend financial help if possible. Take care IP: Logged |

Wow I wasn't expecting that death toll to rise in such a way.I just emptied out my wardrobe of clothes I don't need, and someone is sending them to the homeless over in SriLanka. Everyone can help a little bit. IP: Logged |

Through disaster, it seems to me that humanity is starting to awaken on a mass level to loving and caring for each other. I have never in my life seen so much compassion come from so many people on such a level. A new dawn of awakening I hope. I feel as if all the worlds of this Universe given to us of God are watching us now, a billion souls sending us love. The people who died, are no doubt in the loving arms of those who helped them cross over to the astral. A mass of spirits opening the gates as men, women and children lifted from their bodies. May God bless them, bless us and comfort those in pain. IP: Logged |
