I've just began to read Star Signs, and noticed it says your number is based on your birth number. Well, I was born on the 7th but when you add my whole birth date its an 8. So, I'm a little confused as to which of the two numbers is my personality? Is it a combination of both? I'm so confused.. 7 being Neptunian and 8 being Saturnian, doesn't seem to be a good mix.

7 would be your Primary personality number for your birthday. 8 would be your Secondary personality number for your birthday. The primary one is the most important and it will be the one that seems to come out in your personality more often. The secondary one may just appear on rare occassions, or you may only exhibit a few of the traits now and then. It's nice to know the secondary number but it isn't a huge factor in determining your personality or how people see you.
7 and 8 actually harmonize pretty well. 7 for Neptune/Pisces and 8 for Saturn/Capricorn ... earth and water have a nice relationship, astrologically sextile to each other.

Yes, the name number is a lot more powerful than the overall date number (in your case 8). Also, since the 7 is single - you don't have any associated karma to tackle, which can be a good thing

TY Elanore and Seasame

I find numerology fascinating and complex. Thats good to know that 7 & 8 do harmonize. The number 7 has always been my favorite number. I always use it in my passwords, play it in games of chance, even my house number is 77 As for the 8, I was a little surprised to see my total DOB is 8, and my complete name = 17/8. In my natal chart I have only one planet Earth planet Saturn/Virgo.

Hi,

Ok, numerology is cool but confusing. So out of all the numbers: the day you're born, the total sum of the birthday & year, and the numbers that make up your name, the primary number is the day you're born? For example, my birthday is 07/09/1984 =11 and my name is reduced into a 17/8, but my personality would be the 9?

Well, see, in Linda's (Chaldean) numerology, there are four primary numbers - two (or one) for the date (ie 1 - 31 and 1 - 9), and two for the name. This system doesn't have life numbers, but more like personality and karma numbers. The single digits represent personality, and double karma. The whole date is then a secondary number - like a partial name, or different configurations etc. They're still valid but a lot less concentrated. Does that all make sense? Well, if not, I wrote a program to remove all human error
