At the beginning of the month, I applied for an internship at a newspaper. They will only let you know if you are considered in June this year.
Now, i want to make it on that list of possible candidates, but more importantly I want that internship.
How do I make my dream come true? Is there any possible way to do so, or is it left up to fate?
I seriously want to get this internship, as I feel I am the right person for it (and amongst other things).
Everyday, I say to myself " I wish this internship is mine."
Guys, you DON't understand how I really want this. Beleive me, it would be a dream come true.
I would do anything to get the internship.
Is there anyway to make my dream a step closer to reality?

Show some initiative to them. Go back to the newspaper and talk to the people who can give you the job. Tell them how much you want the job, that you're the perfect person for the job: you're motivated, a hard worker, plus you really want this so you have passion for it. Be confident, and assertive (but not overly aggressive).

If you do it right you'll make an impression and it could swing things in your favor. In the workplace I've found employers respond best to confident, self-motivated people who aren't afraid to take initiative.

Hi Yang, you need to believe that you already have the job.
I'm not a very confident person by any means but the last time I went on a job interview, I assured myself the job was mine. During the interview I really sold myself, even if all the stuff wasn't exactly true...in that moment I made it a reality.

Like for example: I'm a very shy person, but during the interview I told the manager I was very open and friendly, and that I was a very approachable salesperson. Even though this wasn't exactly the truth, and I had never been a fashion salesperson...I told myself that I would become this. Sure enough they liked the confidence I displayed and hired me.

After I had the job everything I told them about my abilities became true. I wasn't nervous at all, and was able to approach and be a approached by customers. I truly believe that if you just change your thoughts and believe that something already is yours, then it will be.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I wish I could go to the newspaper and speak to them but there's one problem-the newspaper's offices are not in my city, they are in another city far away. They don't even have offices in the city where I live nearby.
But Anywoo, I will remain positive and think I have already the job!

Yang, "I wish this internship is mine". A wish is telling the universe you do not think it is yours already. How about "this internship is mine" see the difference? Also, imagine the happy emotions you would feel doing the internship. Do this while you say your affirmation. Good Luck.

Thirteen I have imagine what it will feel like when I get the internship. It feels marvelous. I dream about just before I fall asleep at night.

i agree with thirteen completly. focusing on the wonderful feeling you would have and acting as though you already have it is the best way to attract the success to you! you'll get this internship!!

I also agree, act like it is and not it maybe. If its for you it will not pass you by.......and if it isn't give thanks for the lucky escape, with that attitude you cannot lose!!! Good luck to you with your drems x
